Mission: - To increase and preserve the stock of affordable housing available to low and moderate income households in California through the development of affordable rental, assisted living, and homeownership projects. - To improve the economic and social welfare of low and moderate income residents of Citizens Housing Corporation developments and the surrounding community by creating new models of affordable housing in partnership with social service, economic development, and community-based organizations.

Programs: CHC doesn't just build housing-we work with our residents and the community to provide a variety of programs and services for low-income families. CHC family developments provide a variety of educational, vocational, and social opportunities for families. In addition to the computer learning centers, CHC partners with a variety of organizations to provide programs and services that will benefit the resident population, including: On-site service coordinators,childcare centers,after school and summer programs for youth,art, creative writing, quilting, cooking, and ethnic dance classes provided by local instructors.
