I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star. My sister has been staying there in the beginning she was doing ok. Then she started going downhill and the staff there did nothing. Instead I feel they used her mental illness against her saying she wasn’t compliant with the rules. Well someone who is seriously mentally deteriorating isn’t usually compliant with anything. The staff should have seen her behavior and gotten her some help. Instead they used her not showing up at meetings and such to push her out the door. My sister has auditory visual and smell hallucinations as well as other issues. Well if I had tons of voices flying in my head or around me 24/7 I doubt I’d be showing up at meetings either. Instead they said she was outgrowing the program because she showed signs of being independent. No that’s not being independent she was running herself ragged yelling around herself all the time. Just going going going she was exhausted. They also claim they will help find these individuals a place to go after they “grow out of it” they did a bedroom where she could use the bathroom. They said she could get a hot plate to cook on. My sister cried she didn’t want to go and the more they talked about it the stress made her worse. Then the day came this was a few weeks ago. They keep telling us she wanted to leave now. Which is it she wasn’t compliant or she wanted to leave? She is now driving anywhere and everywhere last we knew she was in Delaware because she stopped at a family members house. Tomorrow we have to file a missing Persons report. And everything we say they seem to have n answer for, not any that make any kind of sense to me other then they are trying to cover themselves now that she’s missing, off of her medicine and being tormented by her disease. Now that she is missing they wanna get back to my poor mom who has no idea how to deal with this situation I thought that was what she was there for help! We are not equipped or educated in dealing with her mental illness but I guess this organization isn’t either!
