These are wonderful mission trips. I highly recommend them for medical professionals and anyone looking to share the Gospel and pray with hurting people. You will also have time to explore the local culture and, depending upon where you are, experience great food! The trips are very well-organized and very well-run. In addition, CERT's own people are great!
I have gone on countless trips with CERT International over the years. I count it a privilege to serve the Lord using my medical education. Time spent on these trips always peels away the layers of the world and reminds me of why I first wanted to be a doctor. I would recommend this organization to anyone who wants to use their training to make a difference.
I served with CERT in Cuba and it was a great experience. I am not medically trained, but I asked to serve where "most needed". I ended up being placed in triage. I was fully trained for this position by one of the fellow MDs on the team and felt fully support. The best of the trip for me was being with and getting to know the Cuban people. I would definitely go back and am looking forward to traveling with CERT again in 2025.
I had been wanting to go to Thailand for a very long time. Being an RN, I knew I wanted to combine my visit with also helping the people of Thailand. I originally had chosen a group that no Cristian affiliation, but I had been in a spiritual valley and chose to pursue a Christian medical mission. I googled and am so grateful I found CERT. Kathleen, our coordinator did a phenomenal job of organizing and making sure we were well cared for during our stay and volunteer time. We also got to see different sites after clinic and on our down time. I’ve done medical missions overseas in the past, but this trip is extra special in my heart. The whole team and the people of Thailand have restored my faith and renewed my spirit. THANK YOU Kathleen and CERT- I can’t wait to travel with you again ♥️
I went on a return trip with CERT to Peru from July 26th - August 5th. CERT is very professional, reputable, and truly makes a difference in peoples' lives. I have been on 3 trips with CERT and each time I leave a better person than when I arrived. I cannot recommend traveling with CERT enough!

Working with CERT and their volunteers providers was a joy and a miracle. Grateful to God for putting us in touch with them. The staff was very easy to work with and worked so well with the national leaders and team. Hope they can continue working in our creative access country.
I’ve work with cert for the paste 10 of my life. It has been such a wonderful opportunity that the lord has given me. Every year that we do a trip to Peru it’s a time filled with joy and service to the people that need our help. Go,
I have taken part in many CERT missions to Peru and one to Mexico. The CERT model is probably the best approach to rural communities with both spiritual and physical needs. CERT first addresses persons’ physical needs and then offers prayer and counseling through church leaders.
While the clinics are orderly and can get busy, they are not rushed. Each patient receives ample time and attention from medical professionals.
Daily clinics can be demanding on medical professionals, but they are themselves taken care of too. CERT leadership constantly checks on their wellbeing and comfort and does their best to accommodate them. They are never asked to work if they feel too tired or ill.
CERT doesn’t take over the show; it serves communities under the guidance and authority of local leadership. Usually, this leadership is a pastor or a community president.
The CERT leadership team is very flexible and versatile. Unforeseen circumstances never amounted to significant delays or insurmountable obstacles.
I have experienced 15 adventures with CERT over 30 years. Seeing my father n law minister to people in need was the impetous for me going to dental school at the age of 32. My most recent trip with cert was to Cuba. It has been an honor to serve over the years with such honest / honorable people.
My daughter and I were blessed to be a part of the team that recently went to Ukraine. We were able to help serve many and partner with the churches in the south west. The people of Ukraine were so thankful for our presence and service and this alone blessed us immensely but meeting more people associated with CERT and learning about their lives and service provided life long memories and testimony to who we are and who we are called to be. I’m incredibly thankful to have participated and to have been a part of such well organized and committed people to be providing care to people who may not receive it otherwise. CERT is an organization that I hope to serve with again.
We were blessed by being able to go to help disaster victims in a Middle Eastern country. It was a joy to partner with a church planting couple in an area that was experiencing a move of God. We had the joy of helping to provide relief and medical help as the Lord's witnesses.
The trip was well organized, well-led, and we enjoyed working with a highly motivated team. CERT is a fairly small mission board which the LORD is using in great ways to bring practical help to suffering people in his name. We highly recommend CERT! To God be the glory.
I had an amazing experience serving with CERT this past July! The leaders were incredible, kept us informed, and took really great care of us and our needs. CERT does an amazing job at serving the people no matter where the trip is. It was such a joy being able to serve the people of Romania and Moldova with likeminded believers!
I volunteered with CERT on a three week journey to aid the refugees fleeing from Ukraine and the poor and sick of Moldova. I had no medical experience but told them I was a hard worker and would do whatever was necessary to help the heros, who were medical professionals and volunteering their valuable time. I had the opportunity to support very talented Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, EMTs and other medical professionals, who with tender hearts and loving care took care of over 600 patients, which included a majority of women, children and the elderly. I was blessed that CERT was there, supported the entire communities with food, water, medications, staffed medical services and tender loving care. All done with a special call from the Lord to take care of his people in need. I highly recommend CERT if you're considering volunteering to the many places in the world they support. CERT takes care of you, feeds you, houses you and educates you regarding the country, people and culture, while you're on your amazing journey. I hope to return again soon and I will be going with CERT!
My daughter and I participated in two CERT trips in 2022 - Moldova and Thailand. Overall, we were very, very pleased with both trips. Everything was well-organized, from the pre-field communication to the actual trip. Even though neither of us is medically-trained (yet), we were made to feel an important part of the team. No one sat around with nothing to do! These trips were life-changing for my daughter, who wants to get into medical missions, but also for me. We highly recommend CERT if you are looking for a way to serve others who have limited access to health care.
I participated in my first mission trip last year to Moldova and Ukraine and I saw first hand how dedicated and hardworking the CERT team members are. CERT travels to some pretty remote areas and the people we served were so appreciative. We provided medical care, much needed medications and prayer. The days are long but very rewarding. I hope to participate in more medical missions in the future and if I do, it will definitely be with CERT.
CERT takes teams of different ages, denominations, and backgrounds and uses each member of the team in a unique way to serve the people of each country while sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ by meeting the short term medical needs. I would recommend going on a CERT trip if you want to explore missions, the medical field, or just step foot outside your comport zone to love and serve others in another region of the world. You won’t regret it.
After searching online for a nonprofit, that would send a dental team on short term missions, I found Cert International. I applied and was excepted. The application process was easy and there’s a fundraising site if needed as well. I made my first trip to Moldova and Ukraine in September 2022. In July 2023, I became a team leader going to Romania and Moldova, if you’re looking for ways to use your skills in healthcare, serve people in need, experience different cultures, and make new friends then I recommend Cert International. A Team manual and zoom meetings are held to answer questions about what to expect on your journey. For me, I found a way to use my skill in dentistry to serve God and his people and I look forward to future trips with Cert International.
CERT trip experience to Cuzco from July 29th to August 9th was amazing! From the beginning to the end. Every little town we went to serve was an extraordinary momentum getting to know the local people, their animals, their needs, their pains and their culture. We felt so blessed to be the Hands and Feet of JESUS.
