Nonprofit Overview

Mission: The Lasallian Volunteer Program collaborates with the De La Salle Christian Brothers in their mission to serve the poor, primarily through education. It recruits, trains, and supports volunteers that empower poor children and adults through education and social services, including teaching, teacher's aides, coaches, tutors, mentors, and support service providers. The Program recruits through a network of nation-wide universities, coordinates the needs of each site with the talents of applying volunteers, orients young professionals for working and living among the poor, and supports them through challenges that arise during their service year(s).
