Mission: The mission of the christ hospital was to provide health care services and to improve the health of the community until sale in july of 2012.
Programs: Christ hospital was an acute care facility with 376 acute beds and 18 newborn bassinets providing a full range of health care services to members of the community regardless of their ability to pay. The hospital provided training and educational programs aimed at improving the health of the community. Christ hospital also provided specialty services such us obgyn, pediatric, neurology, cardiology, and many others. Christ hospital provided charity care to patients who meet certain criteria defined by the new jersey department of health senior services ("dohss") without charge or at amount less than established rates. Christ hospital also provided unreimbursed services to the community. On february 6, 2012 the organization filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. On july 12, 2012 the hospital was sold pursuant to a court approved sale and ceased operating as a not for profit hospital. During 2013 the bankruptcy estate filed a court approved plan of liquidation whereby all assets were transferred to a liquidating trust for the benefit of creditors.
