My first visit was much more than I expected. When I entered the Women’s Center, I was overwhelmed by the kindness and caring attitude of the staff. Dr. McAllister was no different. He had a very calming manner which eased all of my concerns. At the end of my appointment he prayed for me, I knew then God had sent me to Christ Community. I left comforted knowing that Dr. McAllister believed in a higher power.
My wife doesn’t speak English so finding a health home has been challenging. The staff always lets me stay with my wife to translate and help her understand her treatment. Sometimes, when our appointment is early, we can hear the staff praying for the patients – that lets us know that they care about us and about what they do. It is the care, comfort and reassurance that make the most impact. We will never leave, my wife and I love Dr. Green and Nikki. We are from Viet Nam and I just don’t know what we would have done or where we would have gone without Christ Community.
I came to Christ Community 5 years after an aneurysm burst and I was starting physical therapy. They began treating me for chronic migraines, high blood pressure and depression. The decision to go to Christ Community was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The doctors and staff have helped me regain my life one day at a time. If it had not been for Christ Community encouraging me, praying for me and with me, my recovery may not have been as soon. My love for CCHS grows with each visit. Now as a board member, I have an opportunity to actively show my support, expand CCHS’ vision and become their voice to others. At Christ Community – Every patient is somebody, and Jesus is Lord.
