Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Counseling, Human Services, Mental Health, Public & Societal Benefit, Women, Women's Centers
Mission: To break the generational cycle of domestic violence and recidivism in families of recently incarcerated women and their children by facilitating social-emotional health through educational programs, workforce development, and self-help skills, which will render independence, accountability, responsibility, confidence, and self-love. To reduce economic dependence on government resources and increase individual solvency and self-efficacy.
Results: We have helped many women learn new coping skills, management skills, personal development skills, and more through our mental health counseling services. In 2024 we want to step up to do more to aid these women in obtaining sustainable futures through a more intense program with tailored services.
Target demographics: underserved (non-violent) women who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, mental illness, and incarceration
Direct beneficiaries per year: many women learn new coping skills, management skills, and more through our counseling services. Next year we want to step up to do more to aid these women in obtaining sustainable futures
Geographic areas served: Winston Salem, NC
Programs: currently providing mental health counseling services. In 2024 we will be also providing transitional housing services, workforce development, personal development, vocational rehabilitation, and mentorship programs.
