Mission: The Choctaw Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1983. The Department’s primary jurisdiction composed of the area of Lafourche Parish Fire Protection District 8-B, which encompasses the rural community of Choctaw, Louisiana. Aside from its firefighting duties, the Department also responds to medical emergencies when requested and also responds to motor vehicle crashes.
