Mission: The mission of chn is to build strong families and vibrant neighborhoods through quality affordable housing and strengthened financial stability.

Programs: Housing development, property management & saleschn develops, manages and sells single and multi-family homes incleveland that compliment neighborhood strategies. Affordability,sustainable homeownership opportunities, energy efficiency, and indoorair quality are our core principles. Housing options are tailored to family income and include purchase and rental. In 2014, chn completeddevelopment on 48 green affordable housing units. Also in 2014, chn sold 159 homes to low-income families who could not otherwise achieve homeownership through our nationally recognized 15-year lease purchase homeownership program.

energy conservation & weatherizationas northeast ohio's largest energy conservation and weatherizationprovider, chn helps low-income families to conserve energy andlower utility bills. Through partnerships with the state, city andutility companies, we administer large-scale utility programs toassist low-income families. In 2014, chn completed 6,229 jobsin a 19 county area. To help northeast ohio families overcomeshort-term emergencies, chn administered utility bill paymentassistance programs that processed over 40,000 cases in 2014.

training & educationchn operates one of the region's highest-capacity communityresource centers (crc), teaching financial and digital literacy,enhancing employment skills, and preparing clients to purchase andmanage their homes. Our counselors are certified and hud-approvedand follow the national standards for homeownership counseling. The training center served 2,577 clients in 2014. To helpnortheast ohio families overcome short-term emergencies, chnworked with over 1,250 at-risk homeowners in the area offoreclosure prevention.
