It is through this school that I have had such tangible educational success in life. Before Chinquapin, I had an aversion to authority, I felt that teachers were the enemy, and that I had no business being in school. Before Chinquapin, homework was easy and intellectual dialogue non-existent. Once there, I found myself set in this world of genuine respect and care from administrators, educators, staff, and students. The people at Chinquapin all wanted to see me succeed, and I them. I found a love for education there, a passion for hard work, a dedication to duty, and a supportive network that fostered community service and personal growth. I'm proud to be an alumni of this amazing institution and can't wait to return in order to continue the legacy of community development it has so long championed.
