Mission: Provide religious and spiritual guidance to the community and support charitable projects in india
Programs: Provided religious, spiritual and cultural classes, discourses and retreats to approximately 1000 families in the greater chicago area. Over 900 children and 300 adults attend weekly sunday prayers and spiritual study classes and cultural classes. Conducted 10 discourses and 3 camps for children and young adults including jyoti yatra, jnana yagnas, walkathon, inter-faith and intra-faith dialogs and retreats for youths. Supported 3 recognized charitable organizations that provide social services, education and healthcare for the under-privileged in rural india and provided funds to support chinmaya mission activities in india. Other annual events include blood donation drive and lake county food depository and bernie book bank
