Child's Dream Foundation continues to be the most contextually aware and responsive non-profit organization to support our work. In dynamic contexts impacted by mass displacement, incredible hardship and widespread security concerns, Child's Dream remains committed to the the most important people: the children. Their staff know and are from the contexts they support. Their staff speak the many languages of the communities they support. Their staff work hard to maintain strong professional relationships. And most importantly, their staff have skin in the game. Against a backdrop of humanitarian organizations with changing priorities and strategies developed in isolation, Child's Dream has remained a constant for us. I'm convinced that continuity is the most important aspect of partnerships supporting education and Child's Dream has been supporting us from the very beginning.
I got to know the Swiss founders in 2008 - I was deeply impressed by their both highly empathetic as well as professional approach to their goals that they had set themselves for Child's Dream.
And now, many years later, I am still deeply impressed by their strength to carry on, and by seeing what the accomplished in all these years. Simply fantastic !

I got to know Child's Dream Foundation and their founders Daniel and Marc through a feature film project that I shot in the Chiang Mai area: they were extremely helpful in giving me advice and support that was helpful for my film (a big part of it was shot in a refugee camp near the burmese border, and their expertise was fantastic). Through these meetings I got really interested in their work and how they go about it: with so much enthusiasm and heart's blood on the one side, and so much knowledge about how to organize, how to work with precise budgets and defined aims, how to truly involve local people in their team - and really knowing about what is needed in the area: education, health, visions, support for talented individuals... They do an absolutely great job.
Donating for Child’s Dream, I know that the money is used to help children in an efficient and sustainable way and by keeping the administrative cost at a minimum. Very good and honest people with big hearts!

This is why my family is supporting Child's Dream!
Child's Dream organization scholarship changed my life into a better one. Through its scholarship, I got to study at the university, graduate, and get a job that I wanted for myself. It didn't only change my life, but also my family, my students, and my community in a positive way. I am forever grateful to be one of the scholarship recipients.
If you take the time to understand Child's Dream, you'll realize that their activities are incredibly important for resilient development in the Mekong Sub-region. That's why we at PAPER & PAGE are happy to support fundraising efforts for them in any way we can because a commitment to Child's Dream is a commitment to our community.
Child's Dream has been making a collective effort to help and promote the welfare of children, scholars, and young people. In addition to the Myanmar Scholarship Project, they run a number of significant initiatives. We value their efforts and are grateful that the team is willing to undertake the lengthy travel necessary to be more accessible to and provide support for their beneficiaries while spreading kindness in different communities. They motivate others to continue making a difference and to learn more about their cause.
Child's Dream offers inspiration and fresh possibilities that will brighten our future.
I have donated to several projects of Child's Dream. I think they really deserve recognition and support for the work that they do in empowering children through education and health programs. I've seen how they make an impact and I'm happy to continue supporting them.
Child's Dream Foundation gave me the opportunity to study and it helped my future brighter! Thanks so much for your tremendous support. ❤️
Amazing team of dedicated staff and managers. I am completely confident that my donation do good and not to admin and fees. Love to continue my support after all these years.

I am one of the students who got this incredible opportunity to study at an international university with the help of the Child's Dream scholarship. Child's Dream's support has not only alleviated the financial burden of pursuing higher education but has also served as a source of motivation and encouragement to strive for excellence in my academic pursuits. I am truly grateful for the chance to fulfill my dreams with your help.
As a volunteer at Child's Dream Foundation, I had an incredibly rewarding experience. It was truly heartwarming to witnessthe positive impact they create, providing education, healthcare, and opportunities for children and young adults in the region. I highly recommend Child's Dream to anyone who wishes to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
I think this is really good organization although I haven't applied for scholarship. But I ever heard about this organization Child's dream from Burmese people. They always say child dream really changed their life and support their dream come true. I'm planning to apply scholarship in this year as well.
This foundation is really helpful and has a great impact to the children in Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. They help children to further study and provide financial aid to those who are needful.
I volunteered with Child's Dream for a year (Aug 2021-22) and had a wonderful experience. After researching numerous NGO's and non-profits in Thailand, I found Child's Dream to be the standout due to their transparency, focus on monitoring and evaluating, and use of funding. I knew my time spent volunteering would be used effectively, and I was right! The experience was invaluable and the impact they are making is tremendous.
The only NGO I know that manages to keep admin overhead below 7 %, which means that when you give 1 $, 93 cents go straight to beneficiaries of projects. Perfect reporting and impact analysis allows donors to understand exactly what is accomplished with their money, whether it is building a school or saving a child's life.

They do a great job supporting partners and communities. I was especially impressed with the support they provided a school that im in regular contact with, its educators and students during the hardships of covid and the military coup in Myanmar.
I volunteered in 2016 with Child s Dream. It was a fantastic experience to see how they work and how engaged the staff is. The company as well as the projects are managed professionally, adapt quickly to the demanding situations and put in their hearts to make an important impact.
Child Dream is one of the foundation that has been supporting youth education programs for post-secondary education in Southern Myanmar.
I met Mark, Co-founder of Child's Dream in 2020 in Cambodia. His commitment to helping children cannot be described in words alone. I witnessed happy children going into a beautiful new school and receiving school bags filled with books and pencils. This was only possible as a result of the commitment made by sponsors, Child's Dream and a partner charity.
I have confidence in this charity to use the money where it is needed. In addition to meeting educational needs, the charity provides much needed health care resources. I would love to see this charity recognised for the great work they do. It is important for this work to continue and to allow this to happen, it is important that more people are made aware that the Charity exists. The commitment, dedication and care provided by this charity is invaluable.

Child's Dream has been responsive, dynamic, and incredibly supportive while working in contexts that are constantly changing. They have supported the essential admin costs of projects while other non-profits only support activity costs. Child's Dream has demonstrated that they understand what it takes to effectively implement projects. We wouldn't be where we are today without Child's Dream - that is for sure!

Child's Dream Foundation listens the voices on the ground and responds. In a donor landscape marked by an orthodoxy of indicators, convoluted financial reporting requirements, and strict adherence to outdated and irrelevant program strategies, Child's Dream is able to make decisions to get vulnerable populations the humanitarian support they need, when they need it. Child's Dream trusts their local partners to act and is flexible when the setting dictates unique interventions. The staff are knowledgeable, authentically committed, and willing to listen and learn. Throughout the multiple emergencies that have occurred on the Thai-Burma border during the past 1.5 years, it was Child's Dream who responded first.
For more than 15 years now, I have been supporting this NGO to help disadvantaged children, youth and communities in the Mekong sub-region which includes Myanmar, Laos, Thailand and Cambodia. Their primary goals are: Reducing child mortality as well as improving health, increasing access to quality education and training leaders and professionals who will drive development in their country. I appreciate the seriously transparent presentation of the use of the donated funds, the selfless commitment of the two directors and, of course, their staff, who all dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to these important issues and thus make the world a better place for many people in the region. Keep it up!
I have been keeping in touch with Child's Dream for more than two years. I found that Child's Dream is a good organization.

Phenomenal organization that does fantastic work in SEA.
Their primary goal is to enhance the quality of healthcare, to reduce child mortality, construct educational facilities to provide basic education and higher education, and provide scholarship programs and employment opportunities to families and communities. They do amazing work in terms of building schools and providing education in marginalized communities.
The engagement and enthusiasm from everyone in this organization to care for the communities and children is amazing. They go out of their way (literally..traveling thousands of kilometers each week) on field trips to remote places to visit those in need, truly listen to them and involve them in the process to reach the best outcome for the villages and students. I was impressed with this team years ago for their energy and drive, and nothing has changed in their approach 10 years later. They really change lives (not just in the communities but also for those who work and volunteer for them - I was lucky to be part of them for a while !). Thank you for all you do!

I volunteered for a few months with the Child's Dream team and couldn't have imagined a better place to work at. This charity has just the right (medium) size that enables them to foster a strong, motivated team that truly impacts communities -for years already, and there is no slowing down. They take incredible effort to conduct projects, cooperate with communities and actually talk and *listen* to them. They are full of ideas, seizing opportunities carefully to create the greatest long-term impact. I loved how they run this organization, loved their spirit and compassion. If I could I would go back and work for them in a blink of an eye. 5* stars all the way through!
This is one the best Foundation that support charity and young people who are active to support their community development to access further education.
Meeting with CD program team since 2018 in Laos by attending a so called CD alumni exchange and learning workshop, I was so impressed by seeing, meeting and interacting with a huge number of Lao young students, with whom said confirmed one word in common is 'CDF is truly translating their educational dreams to become true'.
That's mean significant for Laos to building a young generations of leaders who will be an agent of change toward a livable society in Laos.
In the course of two years and with a close collaboration with CDF, the participatory development knowledge agency (PAKA) has succeeded at the level of high satisfactory with the aims to promote sustainable development through active learning by helping young people engage in social transformation. Already more then 50 young graduates from PAKA since 2020, have been now serving over thousands of community members in various provinces, where they are from.
Besides the work that Child's Dream does across South East Asia with children of all ages and across a variety of giving platforms the team has also done an Incredible job on educating donors on what is important when looking at giving to different Non-profits and what really makes an impact and what does not. I think these podcasts, the Overhead spending ratio and focused work and substantial impact that is well documented sets Child's Dream apart.
I know Child's Dream Foundation and its founders since many years and follow their activities with growing interest. I have never seen such a professional working and operating nonprofit organisation. I personally feel very good when donating to Child's dream as I know 100% that my money is used in the correct way. Thank you very much Child's Dream for doing WHAT and HOW you do.
Knowing Dani and Marc from their first career as bankers, I am humbled by their remarkable humanity. They created a NGO without administration overhead and have chosen to resize their own lifestyle and following their passion truly!
Their connections with various governments in the SEA region allows Child Dream to run educational and health projects, that have a longterm view, enabling people and communities to develop/grow.
I love the idea and the motivation behind the founders. The help and the opportunity they give to these childs are amazing. Great job!
Child's Dream Foundation addressed issues and sectors that are deeply untouched and often overlooked. The way how it provides support to its partners also allows partners to focus more on the actual implementation of the agreed program rather than putting excessive effort into the so-called proposal writing. I'm so grateful that Child's Dream was born.

Classroom of Hope is incredibly proud to be partnered with Child's Dream to build schools in South East Asia. Working with Child's Dream is always an absolute joy. They are one of the most efficient, sophisticated and knowledgeable NGOs I have had the pleasure of working with.
Child's Dream is one of the best social enterprises to work with. Have known the founders for nearly 20 years and watched Child's Dream grow from a vision to what it is today.
Child's Dream's commitment to their strategy, professionalism, their care for the beneficiaries of their projects and as well as to their many dedicated staff members is commendable.
A s a donor I'm always kept in the loop when it comes to my projects and Child's Dream offers excellent after care once a project is successfully delivered.
I will continue to support this fantastic organisation!
I met Daniel from Child's Dream when I travelled with an associated NGO for a school opening in Myanmar. I was inspired and humbled to hear about the organisation that he has built with Marc, to support educational, personal, and societal growth in areas where disparity has removed many opportunities. He spoke of success stories, of challenges and of his own personal commitment to making a difference. The fact that this organisation runs like a machine, delivers exceptional results and really does make a difference is clearly one of the key shout outs, but the biggest portion of my awe goes to the guys themselves and the values they hold. It keeps them true to their cause, honest to their contributors and dedicated to the individuals around them.
Child`s Dream is a really professional organized NGO which has an enormous impact in the education field. The projects I got to know during my video work for them where very well monitored and executed by the local team in Myanmar.
The team are hard working and stretch across several South East Asian countries with HQ in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Love their impact on rural communities by empowering disadvantaged children with education. A reputable not for profit charity who do a great service in the world.

Child's Dream Foundation is an organization comprised of individuals who truly love and help the others and make sustainable projects aimed at long-term development of the communities where they work. Very professionally run NGO with a proven high impact and low admin costs. Very well done and keep it up.
We are a German foundation that finances school buildings in developing countries. Child´s Dream is our partner for school constructions in Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. Together we have already implemented 26 school projects. Child´s Dream is a great and very reliable partner.
I have been a donor to Child's Dream Foundation since their beginnings. They are very professionally organised and understand that the financial part of nonprofits have nevertheless to be managed in a transparent, expert und comprehensible way. You feel their former experience in the private sector (eg. in their clear controlling) paired with a very strong social commitment. As a donor, I give voluntarily because I know exactly where my money is going and I see directly what impact it has.
Keep going!
I was a migrant kid who had nothing, but a passion to gain a higher education to improve my life and help my people. the scholarship from Child's Dream organization gave me a chance to study at an international unversity. Now, I am an university graduated and I have been working for the education of Myanmar migrant children in Thailand. I am really thankful toward CD foundation for their works.
The foresight and passion that Child’s Dream have for the projects and communities they are involved with is amazing. They are an incredibly robust organisation with a long term view for both their organisation, the people and communities they are involved with. Equipping the children that live in challenging environments with the skills they need to make a better life for themselves and their communities is great. Child’s Dream takes a long term and sustainable approach to all they do.
I have served as a volunteer and later became an ambassador for Child's Dream. Having seen many other charities and NGOs work both on fundraising and execution, I'm convinced that Child's Dream is setting the benchmark in so many areas. Starting with high diligence in prioritizing the right projects, a pragmatic execution approach, and highly transparent reporting, I deeply admire what this great team is doing. Visit, donate, and experience yourself!
Child’s Dream has sent dozens of my former Burmese migrant and refugee students to university. And they help fund the NGO where I have volunteered for the past five years. I am filled with gratitude for all they have done.
An amazing foundation, love the work that they do. Had the pleasure to meet them in person last year and see the impact they make. Keep it up
Very enthusiastic and highly professional team! They have a tremendous impact on an unfortunate part of the society.
Very personal engagement with donors.
What an Amazing Organization!!! The team supported me to finish my university and fulfilled my dream and hope.
Marc and Daniel, the founders of Child's Dream Foundation, are the most professional and engaged people I know. When I donate funds to Child's Dream, I know that of every dollar I donate the highest possible amount will be allocated to sustainable projects with maximal impact.
Thanks for using my funds so wisely.

Childs Dream
Do you remember your greatest childhood dream? Not a mountain of gummy bears; not the giant ice cream; not the flight in the soap bubble like in “The Wizard of Oz” either. Rather, my question is aimed at the kind of expressions used by children such as "When I grow up I'll be…”. Or maybe you knew what your dream was all along. Maybe you actually did become a wizard, even if not the Wizard of Oz. Or were you rather indecisive, like me? I could not decide whether to become an Indian or a cowboy; a locomotive driver or an astronaut; a construction worker or an inventor. Four decades later, I must admit that none of my childhood dreams came true. Instead, I became a copper fitter and welder, a scribe, and a cross-world traveler, which I would never have dreamt of in this weird constellation. Thus, looked at in bright daylight, my professional career is a confirmation that reality does not necessarily - and certainly not automatically - emerge from a child's dream. This ultimately, and after a disillusioned phase, brought me to the sober realisation that it takes something more than just an innate ability to dream up one’s life: in the words of a mechanic, a universal-dream-realiser tool; one which takes you out of your dream phase to carry you on with your life. In contemplating this, my own indecision brought me to the solution of the problem. As to the name of the tool: no matter what I wanted to become, it would always have been necessary: education! After all, as an Indian, I would have had to learn about smoke signals and how to read tracks; also, how to use a bow and arrows, and how to smoke a peace pipe. If I had become a cowboy, I would have had to study the proper handling of a lasso and a colt. I’d have had to learn to catch cattle and mustangs with a snare rope. While bullets shot from a shot-gun reached Indians with an unmistakable loud bang, they were much faster than the arrow shot by the Indian in the opposite direction, whispering silently through the air.
It is highly likely that such thoughts on the vital advantages and disadvantages of different professions were the cause of my early childhood indecisiveness; doubtful and weighing whether I would really become an Indian, or perhaps rather a cowboy, or whether I should rather learn something decent. A profession that not only increases my own likelihood of survival, but also brings communities together; for example, a locomotive driver or an astronaut or a construction worker or an inventor. Believe me, it was really not easy. The advantage of my continued indecision was that I lived in a dreamy state for a long time, not unlike the Wizard of Oz in the soap bubble. In a miraculous way, both he and I survived these original phases of our lives, which, however, did not lead to a single profession only in my case. This leads me to the core of this story: the fulfillment of childhood dreams. Starting from the fact that every child in this world dreams. Every child! And we as adults know the shortest and safest way to fulfill these dreams: school…from dream, to education, to reality. A self-evident conclusion in a modern, developed world: going to school. Those children who are deprived from this right will hear their dream bubbles burst as adults. Not with a gentle plop like the bursting soap bubble, but a frighteningly loud plop. Into their hearts, sometimes fatal, like the bullet fired by the cowboy from his colt. The days of the Wild West are over. Such wild days in which children have no access to school education continue. It is still about lives. In the old days, survival meant weapons. Nowadays it is about self-determination of lives, possibly provided through a universal children's-realisation-tool. It's about education. To fulfill this dream of every child. If this one dream is fulfilled, growing children have a fair chance to fulfill themselves as adults as well by continuing to fulfill their other self-determined dreams. According to the slightly modified quotation of the Italian philosopher, Dominican and poet, Tommaso Campanella, (1568-1639): "Do not dream your life, live your (childhood) dream."
Ensuring access to education for many, possibly for everyone, especially for underprivileged children, is the declared goal of a dream come true, Child's Dream Foundation. Its two Swiss founders, Daniel and Marc, were also once dreaming children. They took their opportunities – thanks to education - to meet their professional dream. They built their (professional) lives on a secure foundation and lived their dream jobs by being bankers, nationally and internationally in Switzerland, Hong Kong, Seoul and Singapore. Steep career paths to recognition, euphoria, success, but then disillusionment after a few years. There was a sublime doubt about this brilliant life in the financial world, blinded by the glittering façades of the banking metropolis glistening in the sun to this day. Self-critical glances behind their own façade. Asking about the real meaning and purpose of their everyday activities for the increase in capital, no matter at which cost, to the satisfaction of the bank, investors, speculators. Faster and faster. Progression provoking dizziness. High-rise. Still, it was never enough. Never, Daniel and Marc realised, would it be enough. In this world characterised by numbers and interest rates, profits, percentages and potencies, balance sheets and analyses. Never-never-never. With courage and determination, but also with fear brought about by change, they analysed their young lives; dared to dream. Woke up, trusted their intuition and decided – thanks to their own education – to self-determinedly establish a children’s charity.
Fourteen years have passed since then. Since Child's Dream was founded in 2003, the two "dreamers" have been joined by many, many children's dream fulfillment workers: "You'll Never Work Alone!" is true not only for industry, but also in development aid. As an employee, as a volunteer, as a donor, or as an ambassador. To sum up, a multicultural team in a collaborative commitment, focused on education from childhood on. Precisely because education is one of the most important factors for sustainable social and economic development. Because education improves not only the future of the individual child, but of entire communities in the Mekong Sub-region chosen by Child's Dream. In Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia. Crossing borders. Improvement lived, led and guided by boundless love. Theoretical and practical. A mechanic would say: interlocked effectively, and functioning like a well-oiled (almost) frictionless gear. For the transmission and transformation of movements, forces and energies. Powered by headquarters in Chiang Mai, transferred to the branches in Yangon and Siem Reap and from there into the individual projects. Authentic. Professional. Transparent. The question is why two successful bankers became founders. And why do so many other adults, including me, follow their dream, for heaven's sake? Blinded by the phenomenon of herd behaviour known from financial markets? Follow because all follow? Because a realistic dream, a profitable investment, is infectious and enthralling. Or because their life change motivates other people to lead a philanthropic instead of an “I-centred” fantastic life. Philanthropy? No reference here to the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra or tropical rainforests. Only to the ancient, original Greek meaning of philanthropy which is "the hot love of harmony". Entirely human-friendly in thought and behavior. Or is there even a more complicated, unconscious reason for such a change of life in the sense of a good cause? "The answer is simple," Daniel and Marc beam at me. "Because the realisation of Child’s Dream helps children fulfill their most valuable dream. It just feels good and right. Because this Child's Dream feeling does not come from the mind but from the heart. "

I follow the work of Childs Dream from the very beginning.
I saw Marc and Daniel starting with this fantastic idea to help children, in Myanmar, Laos,
Cambodia and Thailand.
There goals like good health, good education and reduced inequalities are so important to everybody in this world. These two guys started small, developed a team and worked fantastic.
We as a Family living in Switzerland, with fantastic conditions to bring up our children, wanted to give something of our luck forward to others. This is why we donate every year to Childs Dream.
Then it happened, that I started to work as a member of the board at Bossard Philanthropy.
Bossard Philanthropy wants to help where help is needed.
So I invited Marc and Daniel to present my team Childs Dream and the work they had done so far.
My team was as enthusiastic, as I am, after their presentation
So we decided to build a school in Cambodia together with Childs Dream.
In the Province Pattambang. This primary school has 5 rooms and space for 284 children.
I was able to attend the opening of the school and it was a fantastic day with so much happiness and gratitude. This gratitude I feel personally to the whole team of Childs Dream who uses there knowledge and there force to make our world better. Day by Day.
I would like to thank Childs Dream to give me the opportunity help at the right places.
Katharina
Great non-profit charity organization where you know that your money will be spend for the right thing.
Great job, keep it up and thank you for all the efforts you put in.
Very good first contact where they explained their great works, that is both effective and stainable via contract with gouvernement to run the schools once built. Important to note that their running cost is very low, so 95% of the donation goes to the projects!
Execution was quick and smooth and completed within the year (2018)
The opening of the school was special event to conclude this really good project
The best money i've spent. I will donate more and continue to support their work in the future
Organisation that source for donation without asking and yet receiving donation is a great organisation as this mean the donation come form donnor's heart. There are many charities which could touch your heart and gentle to your finacial strenght for you to chose form Child's Dream to suit every body. l still look forward to visit the organisation to see what l could contribute in near future. A very touching organisation that most donation reach the objective of the organisation.
When I first heard from Child`s Dream, I was watching a documentaion on TV, about the organisation and from that moment on, I knew that I want to support it. I was just excited of the story about Marc and Daniel and I do admire people who are donating there money and personal energy to help underprivileged people. Most of the children in this world have not even the basic to spend a normal life. I mean enough food, parents, love, a safe place to sleep and solid education. My doughter has all this for sure, but many children would be very glad to have it and to know I can help with a donation maybe can make a child`s dream come true.
Hi
Child's Dream has made a big difference in my life and has helped me understand how I can make the world a better place!

It was back in 2013 that I learnt about Marc and Daniel, their plans and great projects they had put in place. My dear wife had drawn my attention to a prominent article in a popular Swiss weekly that I would hardly ever look at. I felt thrilled about these news! A year later we organized a special detour to pay them a visit in Chiang Mai and found full confirmation by what we saw there. Being close to my retirement I actually had in mind to discuss possibilities of a future co-op. We did not identify a match but out of these discussions I could take valuable input for a viable alternative. Meanwhile I'm proud of having realized my own project in its 4th year by now in Vietnam, a country Child's Dream decided not to cover.
At the same time I have remained a faithful supporter of theirs. I find their professionality remarkable, of how the go about their existing and taking on new challenges! Last but not least, and as a former banker, I remain very much impressed by their low expenditures ratio. So many happy faces, so much progress created - big thumbs up!
Good luck to all of you, Yours Beat Meyenhofer, Switzerland.
I love it, how Child's Dream not just gives funds, but pro-actively engages with the community and gets them to participate. This leads to a big and long-lasting impact. My friend and I had the privilege to build a boarding house, together with Child's Dream, on the occasion of our common 50th birthday celebration and were impressed by the professionalism of Child's Dream. We are since many years a regular supporter of Child's Dream and full-heartedly recommend their fantastic work.
Child's Dream Foundation has been on our favorite list for over 12 years and the volunteer team members have gone through several iterations of changes. We respect and admire the spirit and dedication of the team because the low key effort for children in area where really not been noticed by the world. We cherish pictures of kids from CDF every years, the happy faces are best reward for us.
I have been a modest contributor to Child's Dream from near its beginning and have been seriously impressed by it's continuing efforts to bring educational and health benefits to a population unrecognized and under served. The founders have given of themselves and used resources so very economically. This is a philanthropy which deserves support and attention.
We have decided to support Child’s Dream because their targets and their vision completely match our ideas. In Child’s Dream, we’ve met a great team who implements our shared values efficiently and with a big heart. Child’s Dream involves the local people in their projects, they don’t just build something which is not needed and doesn’t help the local people. Child’s Dream also involves the government and it’s very important for me that what we give for charity is used for meaningful things and not for administration and marketing campaigns.
My wife and I visited Child's Dream Foundation in Chiang Mai in February 2019. We had made a prior appointment and were met by Marc (Co-founder and Managing Director) who gave us a tour of the premises and introduced us to other team members present at that time. The majority of the team were "in the field". Marc explained the organisation, the focus of their work and main areas of intervention. We were impressed by the tireless dedication of the two co-founders and team members who have achieved a lot by working pragmatically with local government bodies in the intervention areas. Needless to say that former students who had benefited from Child's Dream facilitated scholarships and now occupy important positions in government and industry or spread the word and support Child's Dream work in other roles help to strengthen the sustainability of Child's Dream mission.
I am impressed by the history of Child'S Dream Foundation. Starting from a 2 men organization (2 young and socially committed guys growing out of Swiss bankers' environment) and bringing it up to a NGO involving mainly local people. Their focus on education is the most relevant and long term method to support people and especially children.
Thank you Marc and Daniel and Manuela.

Outstanding experience in helping and funding for a school.
All money goes to the project !
Great people !!
I heard about Child's Dream for the first time in 2006 and got curious - so i informed myself. And was convinces at once, because of their stress on education and self-empowerment, plus that very particular mix of international expertise (in economics and politics, too) and being a relatively small, concentrated NGO.
At Cild's Dream, my founding is not wasted for the maintenance of a big institution. Their internal costs of administration are sensationally small. The program is very well thought, gives no place for voluntourism, but for substantial human relations and very well aimed educational programs. Excellent networking with local NGOs and officials. Convincing means of evaluation of their own work (even taken as example by officials).
My founding is relatively small, seen the all about sum of Child's Dream's budget, but they have excellent founders relationships and profound informations about their programs.
In three words, they are professional in an ethical way, efficient and bring sustainable results.
I heard about child's dream foundation for more than 10 years.I knew that they are great people to help the children around here.Thank you to help them and give them the education.
Child's Dream Foundation is effectively creating the opportunities and supports for the youths to educate them to be able to build their dreams. I was one of the students who could manage to reach the academic achievements with the financial support from Child's Dream. Blesses the helping hands from Child's Dream Foundation!
Best charity ever! Your money goes in projects and NOT in adminstration or advertisement. Highly professional! Great focus, excellent skills. Top of the top!
We are since many years supporting this outstanding organisation. Thank you all at Child's Dream for your work and effort!!
As an organization that has received generous support from Child’s Dream, I can honestly say that Child’s Dream’s impact in Myanmar is wide and deep!
Child’s Dream serves not only as a funder but also as a connector to other potential funders and supporters. In addition, Child’s Dream cares deeply about its organizations and their capacity development. As such, Child’s Dream is always thinking about how to help its organizations achieve more.
The senior management team members are very dedicated and committed to the excellence that they uphold. I could not be happier with the support that Child’s Dream had given us.
Child's Dream Foundation is a great non profit organization working for education and children across Lao, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar. I am very inspired by the works of Child's Dream.
Child's Dream Foundation is an impressive NGO in the field of education throughout South East Asia with a considerable impact at different levels.
Although the co-founders are Swiss, their main office is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, which makes them being closer to their target groups - even more as both co-founders have been living there for years and are both fluent in Thai.
I appreaciate Child's Dream a lot because, for me, they are much more down to earth than many other actors in the field of development that I've met so far.
They know what they are doing as they are close to their people and although they are very successful, they are constantly looking for opportunities to improve their activities.
I would recommend them without any hesitation.
I have been working with this amazing non-profit organization as a partner since 2011. By promoting the life of children in the Mekong region, they are building better future.
Child’s Dream is one of the most passionate foundations I have come across - they really care about the welfare of our young people - our future. I love the fact that they are empowering these children to take the opportunities given to them. Be being empowered they can then make a great contribution back to society and create a better world for future generations. Child’s Dream is a diverse organisation looking at a number of issues - they have a great team of people who are very engaged with what they are doing.

Childs Dream and the people behind it are truly fantastic human beings. Their compassion for others is humbling. I did one weekend volunteering where we built a playground up near the Burmese border - it was a rewarding weekend. I loved the innovative methodologies used to bring such a project together and bring so much joy to the children.
I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to volunteer for Child's Dream in the Chiang Mai office. Spending time there gave me an even higher opinion on the charity than the positive view I had already formed from afar.
There is a strong dedication from the entire team towards common goals. Everyone is working with the cause at the forefront of their mind rather than individual achievements. The size of the office achieves a great balance in achieving a huge amount of impact, yet not too large so as to lose focus. The organisation remains humble despite their amazing achievements. There is still so much opportunity for them to achieve even much more in the region in the future. The expense ratio is very low, which is a pleasing to know that so much of donor's money is working hard for the beneficiaries.
Mote Oo Education - www.moteoo.org - is a small organisation who develop educational resources and teacher training programmes in Myanmar. Child's Dream have been supporting the majority of our running costs for five years. It is refreshing to have a funder who understands the necessity for reliable, ongoing funding of essential costs, including their recent purchase of a generator for our office, which in Myanmar's erratic electrical situation has enabled us to carry on our work uninterrupted.
Child's Dream have always been there to provide us with support and guidance when needed, have given excellent advice and are always prepared to listen to any issues we might have. They have put time and effort into assisting us with financial capacity building, organisational development and income generation.
With their help, we have gone from having a staff of six and twenty partners to developing links and collaboration with a range of education providers, and together are well on the way to making significant improvement to Myanmar's education programming.
Child's Dream does an excellent job of getting communities involved and putting funds to work. I have been raising funds for the past 7 years for this group and have nothing but positive feedback
I had the opportunity to volunteer with Child's Dream in the headquarter office for almost one year. The organization is incredibly well managed and makes a major impact on the population they support. The team cares deeply for their cause and is highly committed to making a difference.

Without Child's Dream, the dream for over 400 migrant children at he Thai-Burmese border, to live in safety, to have food and shelter, and to get an education, would have never materialized at the school that I have supported.
Thanks and thanks again.
It is important to empower and provide opportunities for children because they will build a better world for everyone given the chance. The future belongs to everyone and I am happy to have the opportunity to give to Child's Dream.

I have volunteered for 1 year at a school that is funded by Child's Dream. Beside the amazing experience and memories that I was blessed to get at that school, I also had the chance to hang out at the Child's Dream office in Chiang Mai for a week and get to know their team better.
Child's Dream is a highly efficient nonprofit. With a fairly small team, they manage a huge amount of projects. They pay their staff fair, but compared to many NGOs rather low, salaries, which enables them to have administration costs at only 7% of their overall budget.
What I appreciate the most about Child's Dream is that they don't waste donation money on begging letters and fundraising. The two founders do fundraising by themselves. They have the most detailed knowledge of their organisation, so you will get a highly competent answer to any question that you might have about their work.
A great professional organisation with steddy grove, solid projects excellent support for the comunities in need Thailand and surounding countries. One of my most liked activities are education support and couching and guiding youngsters for a great education without spoiling them!
I'm really appreciate their activities, administration part and project part. It is amazing which this group can do.
Real professionals, they have great intuition, know the cultural environment and act according to their objectives. I had the honor to build a migrant school with them at the Thai-Burmese Border. Had it not been for their great support, it would have never happened.
I have followed Childs Dream development over the last years and am most impressed by their professionalism, humbleness, focus and dedication. What they do, they do right and i feel my donations are in the best hands. Many thanks for all your great and hard work!
stupendo progetto che vale la pena si sostenere. rendere felici e autonomi i bambini che non hanno le nostre fortune bisogna sostenere. Grandi!! grazie voi rendete il mondo un po' più buono.
I have followed Childs Dreams work from its modest beginnings as an idea and holiday project to its current South-East Asia covering enterprise with a huge impact on underpriviliged children. Its unique and professional approach to support existing charities with infrastructure and its innovative approach to education and health care will always be an outstanding characteristic of Childs Dream. I am proud to be associated with CD as donor and board member .
CD is a fantastic organisation; for the right cause, very effective, cost conscious, very balanced on all stakeholders, passionate team, family culture and managed by highly skilled people (projects and organisation as a whole).
I have volunteered (teaching English) in the North of Thailand through Child´s Dream in 2011. Becoming part of a small project called Baan Saan Rak changed my life and made it a lot richer- I am still in touch with the founder (Jit) and also with the kids there. The people of Child´s Dream have been there for me when it wasn´t easy adjusting when I first arrived at BSR. I got to meet them personally a couple of times in their office and they even made it possible for me to experience what a wonderful and really necessary job is being done with the help of the Children´s Medical Fund at a hospital in Chiang Mai ( I am a nurse). It truly had a huge impact on me- especially after returning home to Germany where we have so much more, are so much richer, even in the hospitals.
I returned to Baan Saan Rak earlier this year and asked Child´s Dream for some help/advise about scholarships because one of the girls in BSR wants to be a vet but Jit is struggling with the little money she has and school fees are high. Daniel and Marc have been ever so helpful and replied to my emails very quickly and did their best to help. It just gives me a good feeling that we all care and also act. They´re doing a wonderful, wonderful job!
I have met and worked with a few of the Child's Dream scholarship students living and studying in Bangkok. They are amazing youth who have been given a wonderful opportunity to further their education by Child's Dream. Keep up the good work!
Having volunteered for Child's Dream, I can only say positive things about this organisation. Its efficiency, staff, and impact are admirable, and the way it has grown over the last decade is amazing. Child's Dream have set the bar very high in terms of how a non-for-profit should operate.
Child’s Dream is a very professional Non-profit organisation, well managed and focused to achieve excellent results. To work with highly motivated people is fun!
I am especially impressed with the grassroots work this organization does by recognising and addressing basic needs; especially in the field of education. Compared to many other organizations, Child's Dream is very transparent and goal oriented. Education promotes change, let's support Child's Dream and build more school in impoverished areas.
Living in Thailand, I know the needs of Children and Refugees. I am happy to have found a NGO that professionally and sustainably helps many Children in need to get a better future. Enthusiastic and cost sensitive management. Frequent Newsletters help to see what they are doing.
I`m deeply impressed since the very beginning of this wonderful foundation. I know the founders and wish them all the best for their so important challenge!
Child's Dream is one of the most professional organisations I have worked with and clearly a co-creator in helping develop a more equitable world.
The organisation is led and driven by passionate and credible professionals; accountable to an entire ecosystem (community, donors, partners and governments).
Child's Dream helps our donors and clients in achieving their philanthropic goals in sustainable ways and is at all times reliable. I have personally found their honesty, vision and commitment to cause at hand endearing.
Marc, Daniel and Manuela also teache us often about realities on the ground and managing expectations.
I have been in touch with this pioneering organization since their early times and am deeply impressed with their level of commitment, creativity and selfless dedication to the cause of supporting underprivileged rural communities. The management is highly professional, innovative and resourceful in their efforts to empower children with otherwise bleak perspectives to achieve an economically and socially sustainable and promising future.
