Programs: scholarships to safe, quality, tuition-based schools. CSFP is a privately-funded organization, whose mission is to provide scholarship support for K-8th grade children from low-income families. Over the past sixteen years, CSFP has awarded more than 20,500 scholarships from over 155,000 applications. In school year 2017-18, we will serve approximately 5,200 K-8th grade students, enrolled at more than 170 area tuition-based schools. We distribute partial scholarship awards to families, who then choose the school that best meets their child(ren)'s needs. Though Philadelphia has a broad network of safe, quality, tuition-based schools, financial access to these schools is limited for thousands of low-income children living in the city. CSFP scholarships bridge the financial gap for families and set children on the path to economic and social success.
