The people at Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia are wonderful! My children have been receiving scholarships for the last 4 years and then we were chosen again for this year! It is an amazing program. Everyone is so kind and nice and it has been great. I cannot say enough about the people I have met, they stay in touch with me and my one son was even featured on the site as well. If you are looking for a wonderful organization who puts children and families first in regards to education, CSFP is the BEST!!!!!!

Mission: Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP) is a privately-funded program whose mission is to provide children from low-income Philadelphia families with financial access to quality, safe, K-8th grade, tuition-based schools, thereby increasing their long-term economic and social success. CSFP grants need-based scholarships to children from low-income Philadelphia families, all of which are awarded by random lottery. CSFP currently serves about 5,200 children enrolled at over 170 private and parochial schools.
Results: CSFP has awarded more than 20,500 scholarships from over 155,000 applications in our 16-year history. Our program works: after leaving our program in 8th grade, CSFP alumni graduate high school prepared and on time at a rate of 96%, and 85% of alumni go on to attend some form of post-secondary education within one year following graduation. While in school, CSFP students perform at or above grade level on standardized tests.

CSFP is a privately-funded organization, whose mission is to provide scholarship support for K-8th grade children from low-income families. Over the past sixteen years, CSFP has awarded more than 20,500 scholarships from over 155,000 applications. In school year 2017-18, we will serve approximately 5,200 K-8th grade students, enrolled at more than 170 area tuition-based schools. We distribute partial scholarship awards to families, who then choose the school that best meets their child(ren)'s needs. Though Philadelphia has a broad network of safe, quality, tuition-based schools, financial access to these schools is limited for thousands of low-income children living in the city. CSFP scholarships bridge the financial gap for families and set children on the path to economic and social success.
