My family will forever be grateful to Children's Outreach Project for what they did for our boys. Both our children had social and educational delays. By the time they entered Kindergarten both my children have tested well above their peers. The part time speech and occupational services as well as their highly educated staff created an educational environment that allowed them to flourish and grow. Children's Outreach Project programming is second to none and I believe it is a preschool model that should be a standard for Early Childhood Education.
The quality education and personalized attention provided to the children enrolled at Children's Outreach Project enable them to develop intellectually and socially. Whether bridging a gap in a child's development or helping a child to continue on an accelerated pathway, the teachers at C.O.P. make learning interesting, fun and engaging. Their curriculum even offers sessions for the family members of these pre-school and kindergarten students.
Children's Outreach Project is the premier early childhood education center in the Denver Metro area. The executive director and staff have programming that speaks to the needs of ALL children in their educational journey. This is a great place to start the process of success for your children, while being assured that each student receives a great early education and foundation as they are prepared for the future.
In my line of work I am involved and approached by many different types of non-profits. Each of these are vital to the community and are all in their own right good causes. However occasionally you run across one that really stands out in the community and far exceeds your expectations in regards to service and passion to serve others. My involvement with Children's Outreach has been over many years and each one of those I have learned more about what a fine group of people and leaders that they are. Their passion for early childhood education is exceeded only by their need to serve others and the community. The leadership of the staff and teachers is unbelievable, this is one of the finest organizations I have had the pleasure of working with and I am proud to be a supporter. I encourage all to spend some time and research the mission behind Children's Outreach and to support it in any means possible.
Children's Outreach Project is making a true and lasting difference in our community by assisting some of our most vulnerable children. By providing therapy and high quality early education, the organization is helping society! Addressing physical and cognitive delays early, can reap huge rewards for a child - and reduce the need for more costly interventions later in life. Children's Outreach Project gives each child attention and creates a warm and inclusive environment for each student, and their family. The committed and highly trained staff go above and beyond each day to ensure that each child receives the very best early education and care.
I am a recent addition to the Board of Directors at Children's Outreach Project. Over the course of the last five years, I had the unique experience of volunteering at Children's Outreach Project through a afterschool literacy based program called Kid's Connect. Families signed up for the Kid's Connect program would meet at the school two evenings a month to spend time with their children focusing on literacy through reading, art and music. Many of the same families returned to the program year after year and as a result, I was able to witness firsthand the difference that COP makes in the lives of the families and children that attend school there. I am excited to continue my service to this amazing organization.
My son, Tyler, attended Children's Outreach Project from 2005 through 2008. On the surface, he seemed like your typical little boy - fairly smart and sociable, and full of energy - but it quickly became obvious that he needed a little extra push. Ms. Alyssa was his first teacher in the Toddler room. My wife still has a cute Mother's Day project he made in that class, with his picture in the middle of a paper plate with a sentimental poem and lowers and ribbon around the edge. He progressed through the grade levels and by the time he reach Ms. Keitha's preschool class he was starting to exhibit some behavioral issues. His acting up in class, not listening to his teachers and getting violent with other students got progressively worse. It got to the point where the Program Director at the time, Ms. Penny said either I get him some help or he would no longer be welcome in the school. They put us in touch with Community Reach, where, through an early childhood grant, he received therapy, got a diagnosis of ADHD and Sensory Input Disorder and was prescribed medication. The counseling was free and the medication was very inexpensive, and the difference was immeasurable. Between the assistance from Community Reach, the dedicated work of the school's Occupational Therapist at the time, Ms. Lynn, and amazing patience from his teachers, Tyler successfully completed his time at Children's Outreach Project and was fully prepared for first grade in the public school system. By the time he finished Kindergarten in Ms. Barb and Ms. Ashley's class, he was reading books on his own and writing words by sounding them out on his own. Today, Tyler is in fifth grade and still doing very well. He's reading at an eighth grade level and doing better in math than I ever did. We're still monitoring and adjusting his medications, and he isn't always focused on his work as he should be, but I believe the start he got at C.O.P. made a world of difference and got him where he is today. Thank you C.O.P.!
My sons have both attended Children's Outreach Project and though their needs were vastly different they were consistently and loving met on their own level and taught the skills they'll each need for successful futures; not only academically but life long successes that are bred from confidence in ones self and compassion for others. I couldn't recommend this organization more.
I have had the opportunity to work with Children's Outreach Project for the past several months, and have been amazed by the quality of educators that this program has. The teaching staff, support staff, and administration far surpasses any other organization I have ever worked with in their level of education, commitment to the clients that they serve and dedication to the community. Coming from a strictly for-profit background, it is refreshing to see how dedicated these teachers are to the children they work with daily, many of whom have a high level of needs, and who also are seeking strong positive role models. The teachers here face challenges that many other teachers never will, and they embrace these challenges in their continuing commitment to help better the lives of the kids they work with. It is not often, in the early childhood education field, that you can actually see the impact these professionals make in the lives of both their students, and parents. The administrative team is very passionate about upholding the organization's mission statement, and to doing whatever is needed to help and support their teaching team. This is one of the most well rounded, and thoroughly committed organizations I have ever had the privilege to work with, and I would strongly recommend them to any family seeking/needing care for their child.
The administration at COP is among the most dedicated in the area. Their high teacher standards assure that staff not only have a broad spectrum of early care and education knowledge, but also invest in building relatinships with each child and their family. They all truly care about what each child experiences each day.
