CHILDRENS NEUROBIOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS FOUNDATION INC

Programs: Cns foundation has a constituency of approximately 6,000 individuals. Many are scientists, physicians, and therapists, but the majority are members of the special-needs community from across the country, representing a wide range of ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our strategy of engagement reflects cns's commitment to expanding the pediatric brain mapping project undertaken in 2013, and to developing mechanisms to connect patients with ongoing or future clinical trials. Cns seeks to expedite the search for treatment and cures for children with neurological disorders as well as provide important information to parents and patients on recent advances in pediatric neurology. Cns foundatoin's pediatric brain mapping project aims to identify all children living with pediatric neurological disorders. Cns is committed to doubling the population in the project in the next year, from approximately 5,000 children to 10,000 children. With this information, cns will be positioned to connect patients with scientists and researchers across the field of pediatric neurological research. The opportunity to active collaboration between patients, patient advocacy groups, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, doctors, and researchers will help lead to the discovery of the next generation of treatments and cures for the affected childrens' diseases and disorders. -identifying and educating families of children with neurological disorders: in 2013, cns foundation launched our pediatric brain mapping project, an effort to identify all of the millions of children around the country with a neurological disorder. With over 600 different neurological disorders that affect the pediatric population we continued our efforts to define all of them. While some of this information can be found on different scientific databases, we found that for many of the more rare disorders this information is really hard to piece together.
