Programs: Child & Family Support Programs - This program offers open and welcoming support services for families, with a focus on low-wealth and diverse communities. The services provided within this program include: Learning Disabilities, Financial & Home Ownership Education, Parent Support Services, Individual & Family Counseling Services, Domestic Abuse Prevention and Anger-Management Classes and a Diversion Restitution Program.

Adoption Services - Children's Home Society & Family Services serves as the vital link to find families for children and assistance for expectant mothers. Our adoption programs consist of:

Birthparent & Pregnancy Counseling - We create an atmosphere where each decision - whether it be to parent or complete an adoption plan - is respected and supported.

Minnesota Waiting Children - Children under state guardianship who have experienced the trauma of neglect and abuse are placed with families who will embrace their special needs. Families receive education and support to aid them in helping these children feel the security of family.

International Adoption - Children's Home Society & Family Services is a recognized leader in providing international adoption services. We provide complete adoption services for children from more than 15 countries in Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America.

International Child Welfare - Through our international adoption programs and other outreach efforts, we are reminded daily of the need to support vulnerable children throughout the world. Donors to our international child welfare projects help provide medical equipment, food, school supplies and support for facilities where children live.

Post-Adoption Services - Our commitment to children and families doesn't end with the adoption process. CHSFS was the first agency in the nation to develop a post-adoption services program. It offers adoptive parents, adopted persons and birth parents a wide range of services tailored to the individual needs of each person and family and recognizes adoption as a lifelong experience.

Early Childhood Care & Education - CHSFS operates 12 centers in community, campus and corporate settings. Our professional staff is experienced in creating caring programs that encourage children to learn, explore and grow. We help build family ties and promote healthy parenting skills. By bringing our child care centers into communities of varying economic levels, staffing them with caregivers who often live in the community, and offering outreach and scholarship programs, we strive to help families provide a positive future for children. Each of our child care centers meets national accreditation standards. Teachers employed by Children's Home Society receive ongoing training and professional development.
