Mission: To provide quality home health services to infants, children, and young adults. The care provided will be coordinated, comprehensive, and family centered to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the children and their families.
Programs: Children's home care of dayton ("chcod") is a wholly owned subsidiary of dayton children's hospital. It offers nursing care, durable medical equipment, home infusion therapy, rehab, and bereavement services to children without regard to their ability to pay. In fy17 ending 06/30/17 chcod had 4,574 visits. Of these visits, 73% were medicaid and less than 1% were self-pay. Chcod is committed to serving as an advocate for children and their families. The homecare process allows many children to be discharged from the hospital and return home to a more "homey" environment which promotes the healing process. Factor units dispensed 2,195,367 private duty nursing hours, 13,930 home infusion therapies, 1,685.
