Mission: The organization's mission is to provide a professional, compassionate and coordinated approach to the treatment of sexually abused children and their families and to serve as an advocate for all children in our community.
Results: Last year, we provided 4,083 forensic interviews, 8,970 mental health sessions, 920 children with medical services, and our Family Advocates served 2,855 families. Our work at The CAC is guided by the belief that all children in our community deserve to grow up safe, happy, and healthy. Our vision is a world free of child sexual abuse.
Target demographics: We serve children who have been sexually abused, as well as their siblings and non-offending caregivers.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Last year, we served over 5,000 children and families and provided prevention training to over 10,000 community members.
Geographic areas served: We work in Harris County
Programs: We provide forensic interviewing, family advocacy, mental health services, and medical services free of charge to our the children and families we serve. Our hope is that our process will provide children and families the tools necessary to help them on their journey to heal from abuse. We exist to help our community become a better, safer place for each child of Harris County.
