Children Without a Voice USA was founded in 2007 by Lin Seahorn, who, as a victim of child abuse herself, dedicated her life to making a positive difference in the lives of others. CWAV is an organization dedicated to raising awareness of and preventing crimes against children, child abuse and neglect through education and advocacy. CWAV conducts programs involving anti-bullying, SBS prevention and Good Touch/Bad Touch. CWAV also produces, prints and distributes free, educational brochures on various child abuse topics with titles such as "My Body Belongs to Me", "The Realities and Effects of Child Abuse" and "Online Predators - What Parents Should Know." These brochures are provided free of charge to community organizations around the nation. CWAV has also developed an off-shoot organization called the Ambassadors 4 Kids Club (A4K), an organization for kids, run by kids. The A4K Club focuses on eliminating peer-on-peer abuse (bullying) but is an outlet for kids to deal with all forms of abuse. The A4K Club has a board of directors who are all high-school age kids, with the oversight and support of adult volunteers. CWAV also fostered the Million March Against Child Abuse (MACA). This event is a walk that takes place on a single day in April (child abuse prevention month) in hundreds of cities around the U.S. simultaneously. This is a one-of-a-kind event that brings a lot of attention to the cause and "puts feet on the street" in the name of raising awareness and preventing child abuse and all crimes against children. Children Without a Voice USA is an all-volunteer organization comprised of extremely dedicated volunteers, bonded together by a common goal of ending child abuse in the U.S. I am so proud to be associated with this organization and have the utmost respect for founder Lin Seahorn whose vision and sacrifice for this cause is truly inspiring.
Children Without A Voice USA has an advocate that is using a Facebook page called “Million March Against Child Abuse MACA- Flathead MT” as slander and defamation. Cheryl Hodges is the admin. Cheryl has her own personal page, as well as Justice for Darby and Kier page. She has continually slandered people to get her own agenda out to the public. She is using that page for defamation of character. The Montana Attorney General’s office has been advised, along with the IRS.
It’s one thing to have a generic public page for the cause against child abuse, but to get on a page to slander and defame others, without having all the facts, is reprehensible. It puts CWAV in a negative state. Many of us can understand why CWAV has dissolved. They need to dissolve this Facebook page also.
Our friend notified the CWAV Board member and the attorney representing CWAV recently; obviously nothing was done because this is still happening.
I am a survivor of abuse and have attended a MACA WALK. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE seen so much love, devotion, and eagerness in a group of citizens that take the stand on abuse of our children. Our coordinator did a wonderful job and is a survivor herself. No money was ever asked for, and we were not required to bring anything except make some signs. I know that our leader came out of her own pocket to make our walk a success. The organization also provided brochures for any supporter that came out. I plan on attending again this year and every year after. This is the only organization I know that takes it to the streets for our children. I'm sorry that other posts have bashed this organization but I beg to differ!. Please stand up for our children.
LIN Seahorn has dedicated her life to helping victims of child abuse. She has my utmost respect and admiration. I have volunteered for this organization going on 2 years now and I have enjoyed every moment. I enjoy working with Lin and the other volunteers and I looked forward to all the GOOD that Lin and everyone that helps will accomplish. CWAV is a great organization and if there isn't a MACA walk in your area... GET one going. I met some great people on the walk last year and look forward to the walk again this year. Thank you Lin for all that you do for the children and all that you give on a daily basis that no one sees or even hears about. Great job!
I have volunteered with CWAV since January 2013. This organization not only provides free brochures to aid in prevention but also works so hard to get tougher sentencing on convicted child abusers through their action alerts. This organization has really touched my heart and I have come to know Lin Seahorn very well. She is a survivor and advocate, and puts her heart and soul into making a difference for voiceless children. She also has the anti-bullying campaign with prevention education which I think is very important when it comes to teens and the suicide rate, these kids have somewhere to turn and in turn lives are saved. Shaken baby Syndrome is also high on CWAV's priority list and is 100% preventable through education. All materials they provide are free of charge in the hope babies will be saved. I have much respect for Lin and CWAV and what they stand for and what they do 365 days a year and 24/7.
I am so glad that I found you. I live in another state and my son is in GA I thought that no one understood that a child had a voice untill today. Thank you I now know that there is a place that understands.
CWAV is an absolute educational and informative organization. It has the programs that the public needs to learn about the horrific crimes against children in this country, and how to become involved to help put an end to this silent epidemic. I became involved with CWAV last year when the founder, Lin Seahorn, started MACA, the Million March Against Child Abuse. The work of this organization is never ending and is dedicated to helping save childrens lives. This group has the utmost integrity with their tireless efforts to bring awareness to the issue of abuse and crimes against children.
CWAV provides necessary educational resources for the prevention of child abuse. Child advocates are able to contact litigators to encourage tough sentences for child abusers. CWAV is an invaluable charity that stands up for the human dignity of children marginalized by modern society. I am proud to be a part of such an organization and hope that more join us in the fight against child abuse!
Children without a voice is an absolutely amazing non-profit organization!!!! Lin Seahorn, the founder of CWAV it's an such an inspiration! She is a survivor of extreme abuse, and even so, she has dedicated her life to help those children who are being neglected/abused every single day. CWAV has given me hope that there really is passion and unconditional love left on this desperate world. The work that the CWAV staff does everyday really is making a difference!!
I have been involved with CWAV for months now and I still believe they are making a difference. Children are our future and every effort, every resource should be used to protect them.

I am honored to join CWAV in helping children against this pandemic of child abuse. I know my role is small, but I do feel I joined a non-profit that is 120% dedicated to the well fare of children as well as their future. Everybody I have met in this organization is committed to educating, preventing and helping children and I am proud to be considered a member.
I have been involved with this organization for 8 months. They are a voice for children who suffer abuse and have survived abuse. They do great things for prevention, and help in maximizing sentencing for the criminals of these terrible acts. They deserve grant money as they are trying to protect children who have no voice and end child abuse once and for all.
i was rape and abuse when i was a child and a teenager. I found this organization a few years back and it made me feel better by helping out children who are going through what i've been through and trying to prevent from more abuse happening to children. This is really a great organization
This is a great group and I highly recommend to be on the Top-rated List of great non-profits.I enjoy working with them as a child advocate and I am about Justice for all these children who are being abused and killed almost daily. This group deeply cares about all children and we must do what we can to protect them. Our children are the future and we must do whatever we can and CWAV is doing a wonderful job in seeking Justice.
You have an opportunity to help us make even more of a difference in our community.
CWAV has been delivering programs for 7 years now and depends on private donations.
Education and prevention is the key to success,. i am proud to be a part
Simply put, Children Without a Voice leaves NO STONE unturned when it comes to protecting children. They advocate, provide educational materials, do in-school bully prevention, and action alerts. The action alerts allow advocates of children to receive updates for on-going child abuse cases/charges and to speak on behalf of the child. Genius! Children without a voice is the real deal in working to help the most innocent of victims.
I have been a child advocate for Children Without a Voice USA for several years. It is a tremendous resource for people who want to help but don't know where to start or who to contact. They are very organized and make the process of sending out communication to the community leaders easy and well put together. It has been a privilege for me to be a part of this organization. I have received countless emails from the people I've communicated with on different child abuse cases, letting me know that they value what we do and that they will work their hardest to seek justice. Sometimes sending an email is all you can do, and I'm glad we have an organization like Children Without a Voice that provides that kind of outlet.
Children Without a Voice USA was founded by and is run by a remarkable woman who over came severe abuse and now totally dedicates her life to helping prevent kids from being the victim of all kinds of chid abuse, including bullying. I have never met anyone more passionate about a cause, or who works harder or more hours. I have provided extensive financial and other support to the national anti-bullying program that was started and run by CWAV- called the A4K Club, or Ambassador for Kids Club. This is an amazing program that is designed to help kids prevent, stop and report bullying and child abuse, and it has resources on the web, as well as a program that is taught in schools. You will not find a better program to support, that can really make a difference in kid's lives. For more information on it, visit a4kclub.org.
I am proud to volunteer my time with an organization that is truly making a difference. I have focused my time on helping spread awareness via social media. Founder Lin Seahorn and the rest of the team are one big family and are truly one of a kind. The future is bright for our children with people like this fighting for those precious little ones. We must all stand up and help educate to save the children of our future. Thank you to all of CWAV for all that you are doing and I'm very proud to be a part of this.
I am soooooo proud to serve CWAV and I hope that my dedication and hard work will help make a difference in lives of our children! It should be the #1 priority of our society - to protect our children from harm! Please help support Children Without A Voice USA!
I am extremely proud to be a social media coordinator for Childrenwithoutavoiceusa. As a survivor of child abuse myself this organization has helped me with coping with my own childhood losses. I have know Lin and her family for over 20 years and they are wonderful people! This organization is extremely dedicated to child advocacy and awarness!
Children Without a Voice USA not only raises awareness about crimes against children, child abuse and neglect, but it takes an active approach in preventing these crimes as well. Our prevention efforts take the form of free educational brochures on a broad array of topics that are available online and in print for distribution to organizations all over the country. We also teach classes on Good Touch/Bad Touch, SBS Prevention and Bullying. Prevention is always a hard thing to pin down. How can you keep statistics on how many crimes your efforts have prevented? It's always easier to tally your wins and losses after the fact, but this organization strives to do all it can to prevent these horrific crimes from happening in the first place. We educate parents on how to deal with the emotions that can trigger abuse. We educate children to be protective of their bodies and advocates for their own safety. We educate students on current destructive behaviors such as bullying, sexting, dating violence and substance abuse. Children Without a Voice USA is truly on the front lines of the war on children working tirelessly to protect these precious lives.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve as a volunteer, in a Community Outreach position, and have gotten to know the dedication of Lin Seahorn, Founder and Executive Director who started Children Without A Voice USA four years ago. She is a shining example of "Triumph over Tragedy," documented in the April 2011 issue of Points North Magazine. Her energy and dedication to educating the public and raising awareness of child abuse has touched me deeply and I am honored to give of my time and talents in a fundraising role for CWAV USA. I would encourage everyone with children in their lives to help secure funds to keep Lin's dream alive and growing!
Children Without A Voice USA is a blessing for all children. This organization serves as the voice for so many children who want to be heard, just to scared to speak up. As a dentist, I began seeing this unfortunate event on a daily basis, and turned to CWAV for guidance. As a dentist in Kentucky, where the prevalence of oral neglect is high, I felt lost in the fight to protect these children. CWAV gave me the knowledge to become a child advocate and be there for these children, becoming more than just their dentist. Lin Seahorn, the founder, has devoted all her energy to increasing awareness of crimes against children, and needs to be recognized as one amazing woman. This organization is solely made up of volunteers all fighting the same cause, to protect our children. CWAV offers parenting classes, shaken baby syndrome prevention seminars, free educational brochures, and bullying programs in schools to name only a few services. Also, action alerts are sent out weekly to lawmakers and law enforcement, asking for tougher sentencing in child abuse cases. The more volunteers to join this great cause will enable more children to be heard, and more precious lives saved!
Having taught elementary education for many years, I encountered a number of students who had been abused physically, emotionally, and through neglect. Since retiring, I wanted to do something to help children who cannot help themselves.
CWAV-USA is an organization that reaches out to educate people from every walk of life about child abuse in the US. Because of their focus on education, I have learned about Shaken Baby Syndrome. I am appalled that such crimes on innocent babies is not pursued more vigorously by our legal system.
It is due to the passion for protecting children by CWAV-USA that I have become involved as a volunteer. It is an organization that deserves support.

I HAve Been An Advocate For Sometime And I See This Group As Very Informative And Straight Forward In The Causes To Get Word Out And To Seek Maximum Penalty For Offenders Against Children And Also Teens. I Have Contacted Many And Do Get Surprised At The Number Who Contact Me Back And Thank Me For What I Do. B ut I Always Say It Is The Group As A Hole Not Just One. We Have To Move Forward In An Ever Changing World. Now Seeking To Do More As A Call To Duty For Our Children
I am an Advocacy Coordinator for Children Without A Voice USA (CWAV)
My job is to research and find recent child abuse cases. I also find the district attorney information for the cases so that we can send out action alerts. The action alerts are sent to many subscribers who will then send emails to the district attorneys asking for maximum sentencing for people who abuse, rape or kill children. The way that the laws are now people who kill a child recieve 1/4 of the sentence compared to someone who kills an adult. We hope to eventually change the laws regarding children.
I have been with Children Without A Voice USA for two and a half years as an Education Facilitator. My position is to educate students, teachers, nurses, doctors, and members of the law community on the dangers of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Child Abuse.
I am so excited at the course this organization has taken in working to put an end to child abuse and in initiating programs that are used to educate even the youngest preschooler all the way up to adults.
We, at Children Without A Voice USA have formed an army of volunteers who work effortlessly at protecting children from all forms of abuse by implementing Prevention through Education programs, anti bullying, good touch/bad touch, action alerts and letter writing programs to judges and prosecutors on stiffer sentencing for crimes against children.
As a national spokesperson for Children Without A Voice USA, I can honestly say that this organization has touched so many. In 2010, I had the pleasure of attending the golf tournament in Atlanta and had the chance to meet some of the children the organization works with. Please help support Children Without A Voice USA!!
I have worked with this organization almost from the beginning and am proud to be part of a grass roots organization that is taking on a huge battle with stopping crimes against children in the U.S. I am proud and excited about our future and all the wonderful news that comes our way frequently. We just need more funding.
After watching a popular television show on child abuse against boys and realizing how much I didn't really know about this problem, I wanted to get involved. I learned that 1 in 4 boys are abused (the ones that report) and 1 in 6 girls are abused. That seemed staggaring to me so I wanted to do something about it. I googled abused children Alpharetta and found Children Without a Voice. I sent in a voluteer application and was contacted immediately by the orgainization. After meeting with them face to face it became vcery apparent that I could be useful in many ways. I was lucky to find them and become a part of this fine organization.
I am incredibly proud to be affiliated with this organization. The founder and ED Lin Seahorn is so passionate about this cause and devotes 12+ hours of each and every day to ensure that the cycle of child abuse is forever broken. She tirelessly fights for tougher sentences for child abusers. She is not a victim of child abuse but the strongest and most influential survivor of child abuse I know. This is an all volunteer organization - there are no paid employees. All the people that support CWAV do it because they believe so strongly in the organization and the cause. Lin does it all - from fundraising to awareness to teaching free parenting courses to coordinating all our volunteers. This organization is the only one of its kind and you would be lucky to have the opportunity to meet the people behind it and see more closely what we do.
I became involved with this program when a friend shared a particularly horrific story involving a baby and parents that killed him. I was devastated, and felt helpless. My friend told me about Children Without a Voice and I immediately joined the program. Since that day I have sent many emails to District Attorneys around the country asking for the highest penalty under the law for those persons who would take the lives, hurt, main, or in any other way place a child in harms way. I do not see the challenge ending soon. But it is evident that without CWAV children have no chance at all. We must gather together and make our voices heard. The children must have a voice powerful enough to stop these terrible atrocities committed daily against the most helpless of our world.
Children Without a Voice, USA is a wonderful organization working to end crimes against children. The founder Lin Seahorn is passionate about the work she is doing. Her own personal story that will touch you and cause you to want to help children and keep them from going through abuse that others have suffered. This is a great organization to volunteer with and get involved in and there are so many ways to help!
I joined Children Without A Voice USA because I wanted to help bring awareness to the overwhelming presence of child abuse. CWAV works tirelessly to bring awareness to those who sometimes look the other way or take the easy road. CWAV consistently asks district attorneys to prosecute vigorously those who perpetrate these atrocities against children. There should be no plea deals. CWAV focuses on educating people about child abuse and how to prevent child abuse. In addition, their work to bring awareness to the effects of shaken baby syndrome should be applauded! For a small organization operating through the help of volunteers, CWAV is successfully bringing the often hidden occurences of child abuse out to the public. Only by a concerted effort by organizations like CWAV, and the community, will children ever be safe!
Children Without A Voice is an organization determined to raise awareness of child abuse & neglect in America through advocacy and education.
We also are fighting for stiffer sentences issued for crimes against children.
I believe we can make a difference in this country by enforcing maximum sentencing in child neglect and abuse cases. We have to show these abusers that we are no longer going to tolerate these dispicable acts against innocent children!
CWAV is trying to do just that by asking DA's and prosecutors to seek the maximum penalty for persons who commit these heinous crimes.
CWAV also reaches out to the public by providing educational materials as well as teaching informative classes at schools, shelters, etc. on shaken baby syndrome and other forms of abuse.
As a mother myself I personally cannot imagine why anyone in the world would want to intentionally harm an innoncent child.
CWAV is a great and very worthy cause. All they need is more people to join in this fight with them to truly start making a difference!
