As a partnering organization, Children on the Mend is a dream to work with. Their staff is exceptional in the care and attention they provide to the participants of their programs. This organization and the Director are dedicated to the success of each participant. This is the type of program that we need to have more of in our communities... those that are truly dedicated to the improvement of the the lives of our younger generation.

As a Board Member I am impressed with the things that are done by this organization. Ms. Kinnard is able to get a lot done. She and her volunteers relate very well to the youth and their parents. She makes herself accessible, within reason, and cares very much for these children and their families. The volunteers and Ms. Kinnard provide quality life skills and tutoring classes on a regular basis, both in an afterschool program and during the school day (upon request from a particular school). She has a few projects in the works that will need more funding, so a donation would be greatly appreciated. I give Children on the Mend 5 Stars!

Children on the mend is an organization that assist inner city youth with resources not typically afforded to them. They are active in the community and aid in brining awareness to topics such as violence. This organization is Lead by a very stronger pillar and enormous youth advocate. We are PROUD to have this program in our community!

Children on the Mend is an awesome organization dedicated to serving the children of Dallas. I have had the opportunity to volunteer at both the first and second annual "Citizen Walking Against Violence" 5k. I had so much fun time with all of the volunteers and participants.

It has been a wonderful blessing serving on the board of Children on the Mend Inc. Working together to make life a little easier for our children which will allow them to grow and become productive and self sufficient adults provides great joy and self worth. This organization truly has their focus on our youth and uses every resource available to help our children and their families succeed.

Excellent nonprofit agency! The dedication and commitment of the Board and volunteers are top notch. You can tell that they really care about the children in our community and are proactively dismantling the school to prison pipeline. The summer mentoring programs keep children in the learning mode so that they continue to be prepared for the fall school session. The heart of this organization is Ms. Vernetta Kinnard. She has an immeasurable passion for children and it shows in her tireless efforts to help them succeed academically, physically, socially and mentally. Her love of children is contagious. Ms. Kinnard continues to inspire many in the community to step up and commit to helping our children to be their very best!
