Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development - Religious Leadership

Mission: Child evangelism fellowship is an evangelical, bible-centered mission whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the gospel of the lord jesus christ and to establish and disciple them in the word of god and in a local church for christian living.

Programs: Our main school year ministry is called good news clubs. These are held in homes, churches, community centers, and schools. We had 221 of these clubs with 5731 in attendance. They are primarily designed for christian growth, although the gospel is also presented at each club. Our primary summer ministry is 5 day clubs which are similar to vacation bible school (vbs) the majority of which are taught by teens who attended our cyia (christian youth in action) camp. There were 193 of these with 3759 enrolled along with regular vbss held as well as monthly or one-time party clubs.

instructor of teachers level 1 is child evangelism fellowship's training which qualifies an individual to be able to conduct cef's 30 hour course on evangelism, called teaching children effectively(r) (tce 1) there were 7 courses held in 2014 across the state. Overall, there were 42 attendees in the tce 1 course. We have many other training programs such as training to work in the fair booth, good news clubs and 5-day clubs, and for sunday school and children's church. Over 600 attended these training opportunities.

along with fairs and other various ministries, our tel-a-story ministry still remains strong this year! A child is invited to call a toll-free number or the internet to listen to a three minute story from the bible and then at the end of the story an opportunity is given to talk with a "good news guide" we received just under 20,000 calls for the year and the percentage of those talking to a live counselor is 10%. This is also our most cost effective ministry, running 26 cents per call. The 21 day camps held in various locations around the state ministered to 719 children.

christian youth in action (cyia) is our training school for teens and adults where they learn how to teach the salvation message using the wordless book and also to teach 5-day clubs, which is our main summer outreach. This year 105 trainees attended along with 50 staff. During the 9 days of camp, the gospel message was share with 602 children, with 27 professions of faith. Upon completion of the training school, the trainees returned to their home to teach clubs and work at fairs throughout the summer
