Denver CASA is a great nonprofit in Denver. You can volunteer your time to help children that need someone who is looking out for their best interest during difficult times. Denver CASA does a great job training you and providing a mentor for you to support you along the way.
Denver CASA is an excellent, high-impact nonprofit organization that serves children and youth who have experienced abuse or neglect in Denver Juvenile Court. Their mission is clear, concise, and it's centered around training a diverse group of volunteers who serve these children and youth. I would highly recommend their services to friends and family in need of a CASA!
CASA staff is excellent. They are willing to be out in the community, looking for volunteers to further the organization's mission. They did a special virtual presentation to an affinity group at my office and they were able to find two volunteers! Don't be afraid to ask them to do a presentation for you and your friends or coworkers.
I have been a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) with Denver CASA since October 2020, and my experience has been nothing short of transformative. In addition to my role as a CASA volunteer, I am also involved with Denver CASA as a donor and advisor. I have been continually impressed by the organization's transparency, integrity, and commitment to its mission. The leadership team is innovative and constantly seeking ways to improve and expand their services to better support the children and families they serve.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my involvement with Denver CASA is seeing the positive outcomes achieved for the children. Ticket to Dream has partnered with Child Advocates for several years now and we could not make the impact we do without their unwavering support of youth in foster care. We're proud to support the work they do!
I have volunteered as a CASA for Denver CASA for 3 years now. I am so happy to be apart of this organization and its mission. Being a CASA can be emotionally tolling, but I always feel supported and valued. I look forward to continuing to serve Denver CASA for years to come.
One CASA volunteer with one child or family can offer the in- depth service and advocacy so crucial to serving the best interest of the child. Social workers and attorneys have Large caseloads so the 1-1 relationship developed between CASA and child with regular visiting at out of home placements can provide the court with valuable information regarding the most appropriate long term home to meet the child’s needs.
As a long time volunteer with Denver CASA (over 15 years), I marvel at the impactful work the organization does for kids in foster care. Through Denver CASA, I've been involved with four court cases representing a total of 8 foster care children. Each child was unique and special in their own way. I continue to remember my connections and time with them. I still visit and talk to one of the youth I advocated for a few years ago. I know from those interactions that he continues to appreciate having another caring adult in his life. I'm proud of what Denver CASA does for vulnerable children and the outcomes it achieves for them.
Child Advocates - Denver CASA is a remarkable organization training, supporting, and engaging volunteers to do important work with children and youth in Denver. These children and youth are part of abuse and neglect cases (in most cases) and need the support and positive adults who will speak up for them in school, with health care, in court, etc. The CASA organization has an amazing staff full of compassion people and the goal to improve the lives of children they support. I have engaged with staff for several years and can say they are all forward thinking, dedicated, and fun. Difference Makers!
