Mission: Cacsc is dedicated to leading the wichita community in eliminating the suffering of abused children and to enhance services within the county by pulling the respective agencies together and housing the multidisciplinary team under one roof.
Programs: The mission of the child advocacy center of sedgwick county is to promote the safety, health and emotional well-being of abused children and their caregivers by bringing together public, private and community partners. The primary function of the cacsc is to serve as the umbrella agency drawing together multiple community agencies to enhance collaboration and communication throughout the child abuse investigation process while improving support services to children and families. The purpose of the cacsc is to provide a comprehensive, culturally competent, multidisciplinary team (mdt) response to child abuse in a dedicated, child-focused setting. The cacsc serves nearly 2,500 children each year that experience serious physical abuse, sexual abuse, internet crimes, human trafficking, and runaways ages 0-18 years old.
