My sister worked for Chesapeake Service Systems for many years and was very happy working there ,it was a work environment that you knew was safe. She was always treated with respect and if family had questions they were their to help. I just wish that they never gave up their contract with Dam Neck.
Chesapeake Service Systems provides employment for the most severely disabled, people who otherwise would languish in adult daycare. I have been on the Board for over a year now and in that time I have become more and more impressed with how employment changes lives! The jobs range from working in a state of the art laundry facility to creating wiring kits for a cable company. The results are the same...a community of hard working happy co-workers. Most amazing is the improvement shown in those with severe cases of autism. More research needs to be done on this, but I would say CSS has created an environment which has fostered dramatic improvement in their lives and the lives of their families. Go CSS!!!
