I spent one month at Cherith Junior School as a volunteer, teaching English. It was a great experience and very inspiring to spend time with the founders of the school, Mr and Mrs Mbise, who are making a difference in their community. They are forward thinking, have a passion for education and are committed to improving the lives of children and families in Arusha. Cherith is still in the early stages of establishing itself but is already educating many vulnerable children and is continuing to develop and expand. The staff at Cherith have created a caring and nurturing environment and are working hard to provide quality schooling for their students. Everyone involved with the school community is very friendly and welcoming.

I volunteered at Cherith Junior School for over 5 weeks teaching English to the students there. It is very well-run school under Mr. and Mrs. Mbise. The school is very new and small, but it has a great future of expansion and prosperity. I am sure it will benefit the children of Tanzania. It has been wonderful working with the Mbises at Cherith, and I hope to return again. I recommend everyone to come and visit the school while in Arusha.

HAVE HAD THE PRIVILEDGE TO KNOW CHERITH JUNIOR SCHOOL RUN UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF FREDRICK MBISE. THE SCHOOL IS THE RESULT OF MBISE'S VISION TO SERVE THE UNDERPVILEDGED COMMUNITY OF USARIVER, ARUMERU DISTRICT FROM KINDERGARTEN TO PRIMARY SCHOOL. I HAVE WITNESSED THE PROJECT BEGINNING FROM LITERALLY NOTHING,BUT TODAY THE SCHOOL IS OPERATING BOTH KINDERGARTEN AND CLASS ONE. I AM PERSONALLY VERY IMPRESSED WITH ITS DEVELOPMENT. THANKS!

I personally know the Founders of Cherith Junior School (Mr & Mrs.Fredrick Mbise) as they are both teachers and met them first time in 2007 where my daughter was studying. Mbise looked very visionary and shared with me the need he saw in trying to provide quality education to children.Last year I heard about Cherith Junior School, I visited it and I surely saw the step Mbise had taken to realize his dreams.Currently it serves children from Kindergarten to Primary One. The school is located at Usa-River, roughly 20 km east of Arusha Town.It is near ELCT Meru Diocese Offices. I strongly believe that if people like Fredrick and his wife Dorothy are given a support then the impact of their vision will be immense and thereby giving the best to the community.
