I was diagnosed with MDS in the fall of 2023. I recieved a beautiful care package this week. I want to thank Iris Lee Knell and the amazing Chemoccessories team for the beautiful hand crafted paper and birch jewelry (necklace, earrings and bracelet), the gorgeous scarf and beanie. Brought tears to my eyes and it was as if the items you selected for me was meant to be and you knew my style! God bless all of you, Cathy.
Hello My Circle!
On March 1 of 2021, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 MBC. It was found in my pelvis, sacrum, lower lumbar, left kidney, right breast, sternum, scapula, and C-Spine.
It has been my life's greatest challenge, as it is for every living Soul who has or are facing this vicious disease, be it themselves or someone in their Circle.
"On the darkest of nights, there appears the loveliest of stars. Should one choose to raise our sight to the sky, it is blinding to behold."
Over time, Chemocessories has graciously gifted me with the most gorgeous accessories. This gesture has been met with the deepest of my Humility and Thankfulness on my part.
I do not believe I have ever found my life's mission. I have ventured along many roadways and pathways, but time has passed and the mind and body are no longer willing. The absolute LEAST I can do is offer these few words on their behalf.
Thank you so, so much for all you have done, continue to do, and will do in the future. As is often said, one drop of water can create a mesmerizing effect for all in which to breathe. You have done so for many more than you can possibly fathom.
My heart to you and yours. May life always treat you kindly.

I heard about Chemocessories through my neighbor who volunteers there. Having lost my mother to breast cancer, and realizing all the good Chemocessories does for the cancer community, I donated numerous items of jewelry as well as a monetary gift. This was my way of supporting a cause that would have greatly benefited my mom were she still here. I encourage everyone to support this fabulous cause that takes so little to bring much joy to those going through their cancer journeys.
I have received the most beautiful blanket during my chemotherapy. It comforted me during a difficult time. Thank you to the women who make them. Very beautiful gesture.
The volunteers who support this charity are amazing.
I have gifted sets and the response has been very appreciated

I went thru my breast cancer fight during the pandemic and had very to little support by family and friends so I had to advocate and push for myself. Thank GOD for the faith I had and the will to overcome. It is not an easy fight and my biggest suggestion for all is to not allow any negativity in your mind and to eat smaller portions but please still eat for the nutrients even if you do not feel like eating. I found this on the web and sent myself a care package from anyone who was still available during the pandemic. I needed any help and anything that would bring joy no matter how small. Thank you so very much for my care package. My employers also made a donation in my name, which I greatly appreciated. Take this journey as a stepping stone not a stumbling block. I am still here and with GOD's help I will be here until he wants me to not be. Love all my pink sisters and brothers (men can get breast cancer too) FAITH OVER FEAR !!!
This is a wonderful organization that helped to lift my spirits during a scary and overwhelming cancer diagnosis. Thank you so much for the beautiful items and being so loving.
Thank you for all you do. I am currently going through cancer treatment and appreciate the amazing work and dedication of your team.
Chemocessories sent me a care package during my treatment for breast cancer.
It was such a welcome gift during a very hard time in my life. The thoughtful items helped me so much, there were items that I would not have known or thought of.
Thank you chemocessories.
I am 54 years old recently diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma HER2+ I will undergo a bilateral mastectomy, a year of chemo/immunotherapy and radiation. Chemocessories is a wonderful organization that provided head wraps as well as stylish earrings and necklace to match my style. I cannot thank them enough for making me feel beautiful during this dark ugly time in my life!
Sincerely,

It just so happens the office is right down the street from where I used to live in El Segundo, CA. I made a special arrangement to meet someone at the office to deliver my donations while on vacation visiting my family.
I am Cyndee Fallon, CF Designs, a jewlery designer and maker living now in Bradford, TN. My family has had experience dealing with cancer, specifically childhood, DIPG brain cancer.
I was invited by my friend Rebecca McKenzie of Paper and Birch to donate my designs to Chemocessories. Knowing that even the smallest of gift could bring joy and happiness during the most challenging event in a cancer life, I did not hesitate to donate. I look forward to making more donations to brighten the life of the recipient!
I encourage anyone to donate your gently used Accesories and Scarves to Chemocessories.
As a jewelry maker, it has been my honor to donate monthly to Chemocessories. It is fulfilling to know that such a simple act of giving can make a huge difference in the lives of women battling cancer. Getting feedback from the volunteers that they look forward to my pieces and also receiving an email from a recipient telling me how much she loved her earrings, means so much to me.
My friend Kerry lost her sister to pancreatic cancer a few weeks ago. Abby was also a jewelry maker. Kerry and her family have donated all of her supplies to me after I suggested that I would use the materials to make and donate jewelry to Chemocessories.
This line I will be creating will be known as “Accessories Honoring Abby” and I have two fellow jewelry making friends that want to help honor Abby as well. I hope that it may brighten the day of the women receiving the pieces created in memory of Abby Brooks.
Over the years I have had many family and friends diagnosed with cancer…. Many whom have survived but those that I lost, still burden my heart.
I help me heal, I choose to work with Chemocessories… a fabulous group of ladies dedicated to make a difference to those experiencing the effects of treatment.
From the donations from family, friends and the local community, we are able to create beautiful sets containing soft turbans, neck scarves and jewelry… to those affected by this terrible disease.
Chemocessories is absolutely the most wonderful and giving organization I have ever been a part of. Iris Knell and her team are an amazing group of volunteers. I have so enjoyed working with them for many months now and the work being done to make accessory sets for women with cancer is so heartwarming and extremely special. I've made some great new friends and have been able to procure lots of donations, of scarves, jewelry, and cash, from other groups I'm involved with, which makes the experience of helping others even more incredible.
Being diagnosed with cancer is scary enough then losing your hair chemocessories helped so much getting the jewelry not only brightened my day but helped me feel good about myself during the hard time in my life thank you so much for what you do
I'm currently going through cancer treatments and have lost my hair as a result. I tried wigs, but my head is such a small and odd size which makes it impossible to find anything that really fits. I stumbled across Chemocessories and requested a kit. They sent a beautiful combination of items including a hat, scarf, jewelry and stones. I realized that I didn't need "hair" to feel pretty. Their package inspired me to find more combinations of coordinating accessories which has boosted my self confidence. This is wonderful nonprofit doing great things for cancer patients. Thank you so much!
The day I volunteer at Chemocessories is my favorite day of the week. I love working with other volunteers to put together sets that will hopefully bring joy to the recipients. It’s so exciting when they just come together perfectly - it’s almost magic, considering all the miscellaneous donated bits and pieces.
I first volunteered at the yearly community set-making events, and also collected donations at work and from friends. Now that I’m retired, I feel honored to be able to assist in the office on a regular basis. I’m proud to be part of a nonprofit that is locally created and run by volunteers.
I have stage 4 bladder cancer. I heard about this organization from another cancer patient on Tik Tok. I found them online and filled out the form. I received my package today! There’s a lovely soft and cozy hat and a beautiful scarf, a sticker, jewelry with a necklace, earrings, and a bracelet. There is also stones that are for strength, courage, and hope. There is some information about the organization and a nice little business card with a nice message. This did bring me joy! It was such a nice and thoughtful gift. They hand pick what to send to you from the form you fill out! This is an awesome organization that just wants to bring joy to women who have cancer and are undergoing chemotherapy.
I'm a 33 year old female that discovered I had cancer 3 years ago. Called ermine Chester's disease it will be 4 years in May. 2 Tuesdays ago I had a endo done because I thought I had stomach cancer because of three polyps came back cancerous. Last Tuesday I was admitted in the ICU unit for throwing up blood. Because I ended up tearing one of my stitches clips in my stomach.Getting this gift that you gave me just put a smile on my face. Though I have lung cancer they found out I do not have stomach cancer which is good. A little thing goes a long way. And nobody will ever know help appreciate it I feel when little things like this come my way. Because they're really big so thank you thank you.
Yesterday I received a package from the team at Chemocessories and I was surprised! Just in time, I was in need of a new head over. The jewelery was very nice and I wanted to say Thank you so much for the gifts. I am going through this journey on my own so it was nice to hear from others experiencing the same fight. Again, I truly appreciated your time putting together a personalized gift for me!
Sincerely,
Suzanne Pezzella
I came across Chemocessories looking for something to help my friend who has cancer. It was almost too good to be true. People who really want to do something to help someone in such a hard time in their life. I thought sure, right. Still I thought what the heck.
I applied for the “package” that they were offering for my friend. This was to mailed to her house. Shortly thereafter she received her package. She received a necklace and earring set, a bracelet, a beanie type hat, a scarf, some inspirational stones and some other things. She was so excited and thankful. She has worn several of the things she has gotten and this really made her week she said.
I would recommend Chemocessories to anyone who asks.
I was shocked with my cancer diagnosis. I found this website and requested a set. It was made with love and lifted my spirits. I felt pretty
I have a diagnosis of Stage 4 Metastatic Breast cancer that's spread to my lungs. While researching. I came across Chemocessories. The box I received was awesome. I felt like I wasn't alone. I could feel the love and caring in that box. Thank you, it really helped.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer and Chemocessories sent me beautiful accessories. It feels honored to get a gift and feel beautiful when you are feeling very low with all the chemo side effects. They do an amazing effort in sending the very nicely packaged accessories. Thank you so much. I am grateful. God bless.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Then I was told I’d lose my hair when I started chemotherapy. I lost my hair within the first two weeks of starting treatment. I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I was when I received my package! Thank you for making me feel so special during such a difficult time!
This non profit organization was really wonderful! It was so nice to receive surprise boxes of goodies that made me smile and feel good on days when I was not feeling good at all. I’m happy to say that July 2 I celebrated being cancer free for three years. Two more years and I am out of the woods! Thank you so very much Chemocessaries
I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and I received my gift while I was undergoing some really hard chemotherapy treatments and to come home and have this package waiting for me, put a smile on my face on a really hard day. So thank you for the beautiful set, my granddaughter and I enjoy wearing them.
My gift came in the mail while I was hospitalized with cellulitis. I am currently fighting breast cancer. It was a wonderful pick me up to receive the beautiful jewelry. I wear them often. Thank you
They sent me a beautiful set with earrings and a necklace and a bracelet absolutely stunning pieces and they came right in the middle of some very harsh chemotherapy treatments. As soon as I seen what they had sent me i immediately felt better my heart smiled and it definitely gave me some hope in a very difficult time in my life and I’m forever grateful for that and I appreciate it more than words could ever express you’re doing something truly remarkable for people going through the worst thing in their whole lives when times can feel hopeless you’re giving hope which is absolutely PRICELESS GOD BLESS YOU GUYS.
My daughter and I volunteered with this amazing organizations. Iris knows how to bring a community together for a great cause. She is very passionate about bringing cheer to those battling cancer and she has a wonderful group of regular volunteers that support her and welcome newbees that want to assist. It was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. We look forward to doing it again.
I was diagnosed with stage 2b grade 3 breast cancer. I became depressed and it made it worse after losing my hair to chemotherapy. I saw this group and thought I would request a care package. Once I received it they definitely made my day! I could not have asked for a better surprise.
I requested some accessories, and I was really happy with the items I received from Iris Lee Knell. They came right on time and are a lovely compliment to my wardrobe. They included a scarf, beanie, and some matching jewerly. My current headwraps were a bit dated, so getting these will allow me more variety. And, as someone who is currently in treatment, I really appreciate it.
Thank you for working hard to ensure that these gifts are available! I adds a smile to my face during a difficult time.
My Chemocessories set came in the mail just a few days ago and boy was it a great pick me up. Mine came with this beautiful pearl necklace, and earring that paired so well with my wardrobe. It made me feel confident and beautiful during such a rough time. Thanks so much Chemocessories. Keep doing what you are doing for cancer fighters.
This is such a lovely nonprofit! I loved everything I got from them! I asked for pastel colored accessories. This is such a wonderful idea and having that made me feel so happy and cute again. Thank you again and god bless!
My mom is fighting cancer. As her hair started to fall out, her fight took an emotional turn. Despite expecting to lose her hair, she wasn't fully prepared to see her reflection as she became bald. I found Chemocessories and ordered her one of their head wraps. It makes my mom feel better about having no hair. As she gets dressed each morning, she reaches for her Chemocessories head wrap and feels better about walking by a mirror.
They are so sweet during pandemic They were still working hard they asked me questions about my personality how old I was what my favorite color is and they sent me some beautiful pieces that I will keep for life not to mention an adorable hat and scarf as well even a mask to match this is a lovely organization and I hope one day I can give back to them what they so freely gave to me chemo accessories really knows how to listen to your style and pick out such beautiful pieces that really come from the heart and cheer you up just when you need it
I was diagnosed with cancer summer 2019. One of the most meaningful gifts I received was from a friend who sent me a Chemocessories curated package in my favorite color (lavender) -- a turban, necklace, bracelet & earrings, and a warm scarf too! Wore them all! Since then, I had a remission and recently had a recurrence, wearing the turban again and continuing to wear the jewelry. When a friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer this year, I sent her a Chemocessories package in her favorite color (blue). She loved it!
I went through chemo after being diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 2022. I received a beautiful head scar from Chemocessories at absolutely no charge to me. I am so grateful for this scarf. It became a daily staple in my routine. This organization is amazing and help so many people like myself
Chemocessories package arrived on a day when I wasn't at my best..Knowing that I was being blessed by complete strangers brought joy to my heart. The kindness left me speechless.
My spirit was lifted. I felt cared about and loved

Hi. We would love to feature you. Would you please email us at Chemocessories@gmail.com We really thank you for your review and posting your beautiful picture.
I have lymphoma, that on its own is bad enough, I am 62 and have degenerative arthritis also.
The sweet little package that I received was uplifting and brought a smile to my heart. Thank you..
I am not a client served but my mother was and I AM a professional with expertise in this field. Chemocessories helped to put a smile on my mom's face when things were looking pretty dark for her. For that, I am eternally grateful! ANYTHING that helps these patients get through this rough time of diagnosis, to treatment, and then to recovery is truly a blessing. I now pass this valuable information on to my own patients. Thank you so much for this service!!!
I have breast cancer. I dont have alot of great days. It was so nice to get the gift of jewelry and a pretty scarf. You guys are wonderful for what you do.
I reached out to this group when I lost my hair. They are wonderful. So kind, helpful and giving. You can feel the love they send out to all of us. Grateful for them
I am diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I love jewelry. I came across this group and requested a donated set. I was feeling depressed after losing my hair. Having a new jewelry combo helped me feel like dressing up and put a little pep in my step! I am so very grateful and pleased. The group asked for my input on my preferences. The end result was amazing. This is a fantastic organization. I highly recommend them.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you were happy with what we sent you and that it brightened your day. Wishing you continued strength.
As a cancer survivor, I appreciate what Chemocessories does for so many women afflicted with this disease. Receiving a set from Chemocessories makes a woman feel attractive and, more importantly, makes her feel loved. Because that is what the mission is really about, showing support and love to women who are feeling so vulnerable.
When visiting my family in Manhattan Beach, CA, my sister-in-law asked me one morning if I would like to join her in volunteering at Chemocessories. She’s been volunteering with Iris’s group of volunteers for many years. I went with her that day and was amazed on Iris’s operation...beautiful head scarfs were matched with earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Once a set was ready, it was wrapped with a note from Chemocessories, packaged, addressed, weighed and postage applied and mailed to an individual who has gone through chemo. I was amazed how many sets were mailed each week throughout the country, even to my town in CT.
The next year when I visited my family, I looked forward to wrapping and packaging these scarf sets that bring a smile to the recipient’s face when opening their package.
My wife and I donated an assortment of items that were my moms, as well as have Chemocessories as our Amazon Prime charity (you might want to consider this). This organization has truly been a blessing for a number of women we know.
Love Chemocessories and all that it stands for.
Iris and her talented volunteers put together beautiful sets to help woman feel beautiful during and after their treatment. Every recipient I know has been extremely happy with their sets. Keep up the good work, you are greatly appreciated.
This is a great organization that helps women going through cancer treatment by making them feel beautiful!
Chemocessories is the little charity that could. Started by the founder, who is a breast cancer survivor, the charity has brightened the day of thousands of women who are in the midst of their cancer fight. With donations of jewelry, scarves, and head coverings, they pull together coordinated sets to send fulfilling requests. Staffed by volunteers this has become a community effort.
I volunteer to help package the sets sent out to the women undergoing chemotherapy. I clean the jewelry and add it to the bag with the coordinating scarf and turban. I have also assisted financially with the cost of postage.
What a truly wonderful organization! I am so thankful & appreciative to have received a package this past Saturday. The package was filled with fabulous accessories! There was a beautiful message in there as well. This made my day & brought a huge smile to my face!
I have seen their work in action and the letters they receive from the recipients are heartwarming! I help whenever I can . I have so much respect for the love and kindness of this charity.
Iris, my best friend's mom, began this nonprofit after enduring chemo and conquering cancer, and knowing just what a toll it can take. As someone who always loved accessorizing and hated the itchy feeling of wigs, Iris worked on developing the elements that would comprise Chemocessories sets before she even began the organization. Knowing what a difference these items made for herself, she understood the transformational power they could have and wanted to share that with other women fighting their way through chemo as well. I have proudly been helping her make sets since they were put together in her house and brought to local cancer support groups. When we began taking requests to ship out sets, Iris would use her own money to purchase supplies when we didn't have enough scarves or turbans (often) because this is a 100% volunteer-run operation. It has been wonderful to see Chemocessories out-grow her eldest daughter's bedroom and then a tiny office space. One of the highlights of volunteering for this nonprofit is reading through the lovely messages sent in with requests from incredibly fierce women going through chemo or the people around them who cherish them so deeply. I am proud and honored to be a part of Chemocessories, and to touch people's lives in a positive way when they need it most.
Chemocessories is my moms non-profit; she is a survivor of breast cancer and went through treatment when I was thirteen. Watching her not only beat cancer but form an amazing and thoughtful organization was and is truly inspiring. I remember when she took over my sisters old room to organize sets so women could feel empowered and beautiful again. Then Chemocessories began to grow and she was able to get an office space and volunteers to help with the increasing demand of sets. My mom is a selfless, loving, and passionate woman who has created a wonderful non-profit that brings smiles into peoples lives everyday.
Chemocessories helped me feel good about me again! Going through chemo is never easy and often I didn't want to get out of bed. Receiving a beautiful, unsolicited gift of jewelry and a matching scarf beautifully wrapped changed my attitude and emotional health. They are a lifesaver!!!
This is an amazing Non profit. They have helped so many people feel better going through such difficult times feeling beautiful and hopeful!!!!
While going thru chemo I lost alot of confidence. Felt unattractive. Then I found this site and thought I would give it try since so many women were praising it. Yesterday I got my package and it was beautiful. I cried because for someone to think of me as beautiful and give me this wonderful gift, touched my heart. Words cannot express how grateful I am. Thank you so much.
Gequetta M.
The founder started out with a seed of an idea as she underwent her own battle with cancer, and as soon as she was back on her feet, she started this much needed nonprofit. Anyone who has been through treatments that affect our outside along with our inside knows how self-esteem can be whittled away each time we look in the mirror, and the founder has worked tirelessly, investing her own resources and time building the organization into the top notch one it is today. All donations are lovingly sifted through, cleaned and carefully chosen to create beautifully styled sets that are mailed all over the country. These gifts promote healing by boosting spirits and bringing joy to the wearers, and this is why Chemocessories is at the top of my list of terrific charities that give so much to those they serve.
I have volunteered for this amazing charity that sends new and gently used scarves, turbans and coordinating jewelry to women going through chemotherapy to help keep their spirits lifted!
I have sent several Chemocessories kits to friends who are battling cancer. Everyone who I know who has received a set of jewelry has been very pleased and honored to receive a set. They say that it is very uplifting and deeply appreciated. Such a great organization!!
I received my surprise box loaded with goodies. Brightened my day.....DAYS.Made me feel special. THANK YOU.
Chemocessories was recommended to me by a cancer support group. There is nothing like having a package of love delivered to you during a time of need. I cannot thank them enough for putting a big smile of my face. Not to mention I got so many compliments for new accessories. Can’t wait to give back.
Chemocessories lifted my spirits after cancer treatment when I lost my hair. It was a big adjustment to be bald and I really needed a little something to brighten my day. When a package came in the mail with all of the special items it meant everything to me! I was able to wear the chemo cap at bedtime. It kept my head warm and I felt protected. The scarf was beautiful and the bracelet, earrings and necklace that was chosen by volunteers ministered to my heart. I will never forget their kindness in my time of need.
My friend Iris Lee Knell went through chemotherapy for breast cancer the same way she has always tackled her life— she accessorized! No hair, no problem—put on a turban, add a colorful scarf, some sparkly earrings and she felt more prepared to deal with the obstacles that lay ahead. After her treatment was over, Iris decided that she wanted to reach out to other women going through this process and Chemocessories was born. In just a few years, we have sent over 7000 sets of turbans, scarves, and jewelry to women in treatment hoping to remind each one that they are not alone in this process and that taking care of yourself can be healing.
10 Years ago I watched Iris Knell very bravely battle breast cancer. She ALWAYS showed up
for her friends and family and would carefully select the most fabulous and color coordinated scarves and matching jewelry., always looking fabulous. While on the final road of her battle she thought how cool it would be to share her talents with other women and try to make their days brighter with a custom set of adornments. Hence, Chemocessories was born and I have been a proud member of the board as we celebrate 5 years of collecting beautiful scarves, jewelry and accessories from wonderful women wanting to give back and bring happiness to others going through an awful chapter in their lives. Thanks to all those who donate, take their time to create the sets, ship them out and shlep them to the Post Office.
The notes we have received from women telling us how tough their battle has been, but
when they opened their beautiful set, how much joy they felt, says it all!!
Chemocessories is the Greatest Non-Profit ever and I am so proud to have a tiny part of an organization that supports and empowers so many woman! Cheers to 5 years and
some day soon eliminating all cancers! Robin Crevelt
I have been on the Board of Chemocessories since its inception. Iris' determination to give back, after her own experience, has been an inspiration to everyone, and the Board is enthusiastically committed to supporting the vision and goals of the organization. Everything we do is done with empathy and caring, from the sets themselves, to how we conduct public events to even the online experience. It's truly gratifying to see the difference we are making during such a difficult time in people's lives.
I have been volunteering and donating jewelry and scarves to Chemocessories since Iris started this wonderful nonprofit. It feels good to support women going through chemo, and fun to make the sets that are personalized to each recipient.
Chemocessories is an amazing organization that helps women in treatment feel good about themselves.

Iris turned her breast cancer into a nonprofit that very positively affects every woman with breast cancer who receives a set from Chemocessories. There is much thought and love that goes into the preparation of each set - color choices, jewelry selection/creation and fabric patterns. Each set is very personal for the recipient. Chemocessories spreads joy!
Chemocessories is a local non-profit that serves the entire United States. The commitment and perseverance of the founder, Iris Lee Knell, is evident in every aspect of this organization. It has been such a pleasure to be a volunteer for 3 years and counting!

I only started volunteering Chemocessories recently, but I have loved every minute of it. Iris is so passionate, personable and inspiring that she makes all of us want to do whatever we can to create the most special sets of accessories to make women going through chemo feel beautiful and loved. It becomes a very collaborative and fun experience to pick among a diverse pallet of colors and styles to come up with just the right combination of items to package and ship to recipients. The responses from those who receive these gifts warm my heart and only make me want to do more to help. I'm grateful to have a chance to contribute in a small way.
I was a volunteer at Chemocessories for two years and loved every minute of it. Seeing how much passion and effort Iris puts into this organization has been inspiring. Though my role was only updating the website and doing other small tasks, I clearly saw the positive impact Chemocessories has for everyone who receives a gift. In all, this is an amazing organization and I hope it continues to make people's lives better.
I have been a volunteer for two years and have seen how people respond to the gift sets we send. It has such a positive influence on a person going through chemo and how they feel about themselves. We get notes of appreciation about what a lift our sets gave them emotionally. Also, some people send pictures of themselves with the turban, necklace, earring and bracelet on so we can see how nice they look in our gift. The healing process responds to how you feel about yourself.
Chemocessories is a fabulous organization, run by a fabulous woman, to help raise the spirits of women going through chemotherapy. How happy these women must feel when they open the nicely wrapped packages, containing a turban, scarf, necklace, bracelet and earrings, all matched in the colors they love! Chemocessories offers a wonderful support for women during this journey in their lives. I truly love being part of this organization as a volunteer.
I have been volunteering with this wonderful organization for over a year! I make the personalized sets for the women. It’s so nice to know that I am doing a tiny part to help women feel beautiful while going through a difficult time. And when we receive notes from some of the women telling us how much their set meant, it fills my heart with joy & love. It’s a little overwhelming at times to see all the donations we receive. ( It is 100% donation based.) But it’s amazjng how many people donate to help other women feel beautiful! I am proud to be part of this amazing charity
Being a volunteer for Chemocessories has helped me tremendously this past year+. The positive impact it has had on my life is significant. I'm so grateful that I met Iris and got involved. It's gratifying to see the positive impact this organization is making, on a personal level, for so many women battling cancer.

I am a volunteer who helped put some articles together to send to a woman who needed a little lift while going thru chemo. I was surprised how each and every volunteer worked so hard at making just the right choices to complete a set that would go to someone they didn't know and would never meet. When I read the letters from the women who received these packages, I sat with tears in my eyes, knowing that I had also been a part of making someone feel better about what they were going thru. THANKS TO CHEMOCESSORIES FOR GIVING ME THIS CHANCE TO HELP OUT.
Chemocessories is just one of those incredible gifts to our world. As a two time cancer survivor I know all too well the difficulty of facing cancer with dignity and self-confidence... that is exactly what Chemocessories does for those facing the difficulties of the disease. By receiving a Chemocessories package, people around the world know they are not alone. I feel so fortunate to live in the in same city as Chemocessories and therefore I am able to volunteer my time and give back when I can. I can also tell you that the leadership of the nonprofit are the most caring, kind, compassionate people I have ever met. Keep up the amazing work... thank you for all that you do!
Nothing compares to the feeling when you read a letter from a recipient of a set from Chemocessories! In that moment, you know you have made a very personal difference in the life of a woman going through treatment and it brings joy and gratitude to your heart.
This is is I Chemoccesorize!! Kudos to Iris Lee Knell for her incredible journey!
I have been volunteering with Chemocessories for 6 years now. I have made sets, addressed envelopes, worked on the website even made jewlery. They are a great organization to work with and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to help out.

Chemocessories is a wonderful organizations. I recieved a beautifully wrapped package with matching hat, scarf, necklace, earring and bracelet. This package put a wonderful smile on my face and gave me a boost of energy to put on some make up and face the world. These small gestures have a huge impact on the mental health of someone like who is living with cancer.
This is an amazing organization that started from first hand experience and finding something that was uplifting and fun. What a gift to others when the founder decided to share her gift with others. I have seen this organization grow from a good idea to a Great Nonprofit!
You don't always realize what an emotional toll Cancer treatment takes on you. I received such a thoughtful gift in the mail. I put the scarf on and walked into the kitchen like usual. My husband said, "Oh, you look pretty!" And for the first time since I started chemo 6 months ago, I actually felt it. Thank you to a wonderful organization.
Chemocessories is a very well-run non-profit. All the accessories (scarves, earrings, necklaces) are donated and 100% of money donated is used for postage and mailing materials. The amazing work of creating sets and mailing out is done by volunteers. More importantly, Chemocessories provides beauty and joy to women when they are at their lowest, dealing with cancer and chemotherapy. Please support this organization with your material and monetary donations!
Sometimes you gave to help a friend in a different way. When I find out a woman I know has cancer. I direct them to this charity become the items they send out are funny, special and useful. It's no fun being sick but it's fun to get a great fun filled package.
Thank you so much for the items they are greatly appreciated during my chemo treatment! Organizations like this really help to lighten the load during this trying time!
I have never written a review before, but I will make an exception because I see the good that Chemocessories has done.
Nearly four years ago, I lost my dear wife after a long bout with cancer and other illnesses. When the cancer was first discovered, she was given chemo with nearly disastrous results. Thankfully, she came home. Of course, she still had a bald head and was fearful for her health and future.
Seeing this situation, Iris from Chemocessories handmade and gave her a headcovering, as well as some earrings. This wonderful gesture lifted her spirits and helped her get through that tough time.
It turned out that my wife was the first recipricant of Chemocessories's charitable service to those afflicted with cancer.
I can not thank Chemocessories enough for their kindness and support to those afflicted. I am a huge fan and supporter.
What a wonderful package to have received!! When you don't have your hair it sure help to accessorize and "spiff" up a bit. Thank you so much!!
When I was diagnosed with a recurrence of triple negative breast cancer, I knew that I would lose my hair once again. While I still have my wig from the first time, it is not very comfortable. I decided to use scarves as head coverings, but I was at a loss on what to put with them. I came across Chemocessories on the web and saw that they offered not only a free scarf, but also matching earrings and bangle bracelets for free! The things they sent me are beautiful, but even better was the care and love put into assembling the package. I felt special at a time when I was physically and emotionally feeling pretty low. The coordinating jewelry gives the scarf feel like a fashionable choice instead of a frumpy head covering. Thank you, Chemocessories!
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and these ladies really brightened my day when I received a lovely wrapped package with soft, pretty, and very very useful accessories for my new, hairless look. They obviously put a lot of thought into how I could coordinate all of the items to go together in different ways. Thanks so much everyone!
The woman who created this non-profit, Iris Knell, is truly an inspiration. She is not only a survivor but a role model. She does not get paid to run chemocessories, she does it by the goodness of her heart. She truly wants to help others feel good through their treatment and i could not commend her more for that. I wish more people were like her and would dedicate their own time to create something this special all for the benefit of others. I absolutely love her idea and her vision. Thank you Iris, for making a difference in so many of our lives.
Please support this organization and spread the word! The gift package they sent was over the top. It came during my sister's first week of chemo treatment and she loved it. The personalized products - hat, jewelry, scarf, and note from donor were all items tailored for my sister. Chemoaccessories' commitment to making a patient feel loved and supported during this journey is so important to recovery and mental well being. My sister has been very depressed and this helped her know she isn't alone! THANK YOU!
Received a very prettily wrapped gift . I opened it to find an absolutely beautiful accessory collection. Going thru chemo can take its toll physically and mentally. Receiving It really brightened up my day :) Thank you!!!!
Made me feel better after a chaotic day where everything was a frustrating obstacle. It made me see that there are good people out there. I will pay it forward by giving a donation.
I am 32, have an infant, and going through aggressive chemotherapy after a double mastectomy for breast cancer. I found out about Chemocessories, told them my story and they sent the most THOUGHTFUL and UPLIFTING package. I told them my favorite colors and they went out of their way to put something together that was super special. It absolutely lifted my spirits, especially at a time when financial resources have to go to medical bills and certainly not treating ourselves to anything like Chemocessories put together. Everything down to the packaging was special and I know this organization warms many hearts through their work.
What a gift. I received a beautiful package in the mail at a time when I needed it most. Not because I lost all my hair again but because I was in a bad spot mentally which happens as you travel through the process of cancer.
I opened the package and just sat and cried in thanksgiving for the gift of caring. No hair, tears streaming down my face I put on the hat, scarf, and jewelry and moved on with my day.
It was one of the kindest gifts and I thank all those who took part in making my day so happy.

When I was surprising diagnosed with cancer in June 2013, I resolved that a great attitude, together with the support of family and friends would get me through a tough time. I planned to stay as "normal" as possible, attending concerts and plays with my husband, retaining my daily workouts, and keeping our lives in order. When I received a Chemocessories gift package from my family, I was thrilled since this made my plan even easier! The pretty assortment of turbans, scarves and jewelry in my favorite blue hues (great with jeans), would assure self-confidence if cancer treatments resulted in hair loss or other unwelcome side effects. It's so important to remain positive and to feel beautiful inside and out, not only throughout our daily lives, but especially during trying times. Thanks to Chemocessories, I was able to accomplish my goals, and my positive attitude enhanced the benefits of the cancer treatments. As of this date, I am happy to say I remain in remission.
Chemocessories is great! Iris made her first set for my mom when she was going through chemo for stomach cancer, and made beautiful sets for my sister-in-law when she was undergoing chemo for throat cancer. I recently donated all of my mom's turbans and caps and was happy to help Iris create new sets from some of them! Chemocessories is really changing women's lives for the better during difficult times! - Michelle
This is a great service, help, encouragement and pretty accessories for women undergoing chemo.
They kindly sent a well thought out parcel containing a suite of coordinated hats, scarf, costume jewellery and messages of hope to my sister. The uplift in her spirit was visible and immediate. She definitely benefited from an increase in her sense of her own beauty and confidence. It was a priceless gift, just to be reminded that chemo has not diminished her beauty and femininity.
The website has an easy to use requests from and they, not only happy to take a request from a far!away sister, wrote the card with my message. It was very personal and thoughtful. They have my enduring gratitude for all their love and encouragement.
