Chayil is a transformative organization providing post-shelter support to women who have made the bold decision to leave an abusive relationship. Chayil’s services provide these women with the tools to make significant strides in creating a meaningful and self-sufficient life. I have been inspired by the stories of program graduates and their children who were once living in fear and stripped of their voice, who now have renewed emotional strength and are equipped with the tools to move forward. The dedication of Heidi Day, the board members and volunteers continues to expand Chayil’s reach and positive impact.
This is a program that is committed to doing whatever it takes to make a difference in individual lives. They are reaching a demographic that often goes unnoticed in regards to domestic violence.
My work with Heidi Day has been rewarding and inspiring. I will do whatever I can to continue to serve the community that they are building as they work towards promoting healing and wholeness for so many in need.
I have been a Life Coach, with Chayil, Inc. for the past two and a half years, coaching women who are survivors of domestic violence in post-shelter transitional programs. I have seen numerous lives transformed because Chayil gave these women an opportunity to THRIVE, not just survive. The Chayil 12-month program addresses the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Chayil's personal development plan and supplemental life coaching services implement skills for survivors to build self-esteem, change negative thought patterns, set short and long term goals; learn how to manage finances; discover values and strengths; and implement a career path. Chayil empowers survivors to take ownership and control of their lives to create their divine ideal as they prepare for a future outside the transitional program.
Chayil's coaching initiative has been effective in achieving the intended goals and purpose by the success stories of its graduates. One of Chayil’s clients came into the program seeking a future for herself and her one-year old son. In her country or origin, she had obtained a nursing degree and certification, but it was not considered sufficient in our country. In order to work as an R.N., this client was required to obtain additional training and sit for the state R.N. exam. Upon entering Chayil’s program, her poor self-esteem, hopelessness, and negative self-talk kept her stuck in her shattered dreams. Life coaching empowered this client to redefine her values and learn how to believe in herself again. She conquered her fears, discovered her strengths and took the first step forward to prepare for the R.N. exam, which she passed on the first try! Within months, she was working as an R.N. at a local hospital and began living her divine ideal. Because of Chayil's support, she learned how to make conscious choices in order to persevere and conquer her fears which resulted in a prosperous future for herself and her son.
The Chayil program presents an incredible opportunity for survivors to start a new life and put the past behind and should be offered to all victims of domestic violence in every state and nation in the country.
Chayil is a unique organization that provides a lifeline for women committed to rebuilding their lives after experiencing domestic violence. The women in the program have made a decision to change their old habits and make better choices about their lives. Chayil works closely with the women and provide personal life coaches to help guide the women through their journey to self-sufficiency and self-love. Please join Chayil in expanding their reach to a broader audience.
