Do not contribute to a organization that would turn help away from someone based on their political views. They made statements about Texas, calling it a "red state" saying that they should help themselves and be incinerated. Shame on them. If you need to see it for yourself look it up Scum of the earth Sorry I HAD to give it a star to post this comment
If I could rate this 'charitable' organization with a minus ten stars I,would. They tweeted that they would not assist the Houston flood victims because they are in a "red state". Scum. Lower than pond scum. Disgusting.,
The tweets this reviewer is referring to was the result of the unauthorized use of our organization's social media accounts by a former volunteer. The tweets were offensive and are not representative of our views, values, or philosophy.
The moment we were made aware of these tweets we down the social media and took control of the situation. We also posted an apology and detailed explanation of what had occurred.
Charitable Humans is neither equipped or experienced to respond or intervene in natural disasters or other domestic crises, so making the tweets somewhat what truthful in that we wouldn't be responding, but the reason why we aren't getting involved was a complete fabrication. Our hearts go out to everyone whose lives have been affected by the disaster, and while we wish we had the resources and abilities to help everyone in all situations, sadly we can't.
This reviewer is reviewing our organization based on speculative assumptions; they have never worked, volunteered, or had any involvement with our organization as a supporter or benefactor.
While we certainly appreciate honest criticism, whether it's good or bad, this review isn't a review of who we are or what we do as an organization; it's based on events that were beyond our control at the time.
