Mission: Our mission is to provide low-income academically motivated new york city high school students with a three-year summer program of enriched academic and cultural activities; to promote connections between chappaqua summer scholarship program ("cssp") students and families in our community; and to help prepare our students for college and expose them to career options to support their future personal success.
Programs: Grants - the chappaqua summer scholarship program provides grants to all high school graduates of the program if they are enrolled full time at an accredited college or university to purchase books and materials for their college study. Students submit their past grades and upcoming schedules to qualify. They receive $450 per semester. Checks are sent directly to the students each semester after their documentation is received. The program was expanded this year to include both undergraduate and graduate students. From 25 to 35 students apply for the book stipend each semester.
