Changing Destiny is having a powerful impact on women and families in South Asia. I visited in 2016 and 2017. They are making a difference one person at a time. It was good for me to get out of my comfortable life and experience an entirely different culture. The leadership is passionate about sharing Christ and empowering people. I highly recommend this organization and their ministry. I miss everyone and hope to go back again sometime.
I was able to serve with Changing Destiny in October 2019. Traveling and seeing life of the women in Red Light Districts with my own eyes is something I will never forget. There is such a heaviness in the city. It really showed me the sense of urgency needed to share the good news and love on these women. Seeing all the good Changing Destiny was doing in the city was like a bright light shining in such a dark city. When we got to work with the children it was absolutely incredible! These children understand the love of Jesus more than most mature christians I know. It was like you were able to see almost immediate fruits from the work being done through Changing Destiny. Changing Destiny is such a special organization. We will always continue to support them and serve alongside them and help their efforts as much as we can. Keep up the great work guys!
In 2018, I traveled so South Asia with Changing Destiny. My team and I spent a week visiting and praying for the women working in the red light districts. Being in one of the busiest cities in the world, time seemed to stop when we were with those women. It was a Holy Spirit moment I will never forget. Following along with Changing Destiny, and seeing women go through the salon program has been an answer to many prayers! Most of these women continue working in the brothels because they have no other choice. Ryan, Aslyn and the salon team are dedicated to giving these women another choice, to work and earn an income with skills they have learned. This program may their only chance at a life free from sex work. The second week we spent time at the school, teaching, playing, and learning with children rescued or sent by their own mothers to have a chance to live outside of the brothels. With education and biblical teachings, Changing Destiny is giving these kids a life that would not be possible without them. I miss those smiles almost every day! They taught me more than I am sure I taught them. Jesus is alive in those children and seeing them safe and happy was a huge blessing. I thank God every day for this non-profit and all the work they are doing to end human trafficking. Changing Destiny needs your help to continue rescuing & restoring these women and children! My husband and I visited in 2017 and immediately fell in love. The idea of providing education to break the cycle of abuse in a family's life with a self-sustaining, long-term plan to do so, is genius! We saw the need and the great love and care of the team on the ground meeting the need and just knew this organization does what they say they do. The children that are receiving education at the school are amazing kids and they have a bright future! In addition, during our time there, we were cared for so well by the team. The director is so knowledgeable and it was a joy to learn from him! Back in our hometown, my husband and I started advocating and raising funds for this organization. We love Changing Destiny!!!!!!
After learning about Changing Destiny and the work they do to support women and children, I decided to visit them on a mission trip in 2019. I had a life changing experience and ended up staying over a month! I quickly realized the work they are doing is so important and needed in South Asia. While I was there I made the decision to join the team and volunteer a year of my life to help in any way possible. After returning home to the states, I used my talents to help the team with research and logistics. I will be advocating on behalf of Changing Destiny throughout 2020 and working towards raising sponsorship's on their behalf. My wife and I went to visit Changing Destiny (CD) for the first time in February of 2017, we spent a week traveling with the founding director and fell in love with the heart and vision of the organization. The remainder of that year we stayed involved from the states, advocated and help organize a fundraiser for CD. We soon after that connected further with the director and were invited to work with them overseas. My wife and I have spent the last 2 1/2 years working alongside the director and serving in the organization with whatever is needed. we helped start their beauty training school and toddler night care program with the help of partner organizations. We absolutely love Changing Destiny, what they stand for and how they live out their vision and heart. I would highly recommend connecting, donation or advocating for Changing Destiny to ANYONE!
