Although Jews may embrace many levels of observance in their personal lives, there should be a place for all Jews - no labels, no affiliations - to develop a sense of community, to enhance the experience of being Jewish, to learn and to have fun. With tolerance, sincerity and deeply rooted values, Chabad can help you find that Jewish Center in your heart.Established in 2002, the Chabad Jewish Center of Southern Somerset County is dedicated to increasing the awareness, knowledge and observance of Judaism in Hillsborough, Montgomery and Franklin Townships and the surrounding communities.Its purpose is to reach out to all Jews, regardless of age, affiliation or level of observance, and bring them closer to Judaism. Chabad serves individuals and families looking for an anchor and non-judgmental, accepting, personalized Jewish experience. Chabad extends a welcoming hand to people throughout Southern Somerset County. We overlook no one and will go anywhere to help another person. We have successfully stimulated activity in areas often overlooked by other organizations. Chabad offers Jewish education, but more importantly, it offers the opportunity to experience first hand the vitality and relevance of Torah true Judaism as it is lived today. Participants experience the joy and celebration, the intimacy and compassion, the wisdom and knowledge that is inherent in Jewish life and learning. Chabad is a full service organization responding to both the material and spiritual needs of the community. Through classes, counseling, celebrations, holiday events and youth programs, Chabad will use whatever means necessary to bring the message of Torah true Judaism to the children, teens, adults and elderly of the Community.
