Mission: To provide services primarily, but not exclusively, to the latino community. Services include: health education, disease prevention, college preparation, parent education, translation, youth development, tutoring, case management and day care.
Programs: The community development initiative (cdi) serves fulton and montgomery counties to mobilize and raise awareness of identified hiv/aids related issues. Specific focus areas recently include: youth sexual health,lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, msm support, hiv testing, and peer support for people living with hiv. The cdi program served approximately 50 families in 2018.
albany day care - the bilingual day care center helps working families access quality child care and subsidy assistance. Workforce development institute's child care program is a collaborative demonstration project with the new york state office of children and family services, and the local county department social services in albany. The day care program served approximately 21 children in 2018.
medicaid service coordination - case management identifies people living with developmental disabilities whose needs are unmet. Possible consumers are referred to our staff by word of mouth, schools, churches, and community agencies. Outreach will continue throughout the capital area. Outreach activities include program staff working with consumers and their families to meet their needs by providing case management and coordinating existing services. The program's ultimate goal is to integrate consumers into society as productive and independent individuals. The medicaid service coordination program served approximately 50 individuals in 2018.
other program services include arts and cultural programs, a day care center, the spanish hiv/aids hotline, the court appointed special advocates program, housing services, and oral and written translation and interpretation services. Other programs served aproximatly 47 individuals and 6 families in 2018.
