These people never give up. They rescue animals from Central Vermont but also from other areas where local humane societies have less staff, space and money. They go where they are needed when disaster strikes, to help out-of-state organizations deal with great numbers of lost or abandoned animals. When CVHS has special cases, such as animals that were injured/abused/ill/lost and starving, they send out a call to their supporters for special donations, with the goal of restoring these animals and eventually making them available for adoption. And they follow up every case, reporting back on their progress and their outcomes. I can tell you, as one who often has been a special donor, there is nothing better than getting a message that one of those animals has found its "forever" home. These are such good people, and so highly effective. They deserve recognition, and I hope they will be on the award list.
