Mission: Prenancy counseling
Programs: Pregnancy care center continues to achieve our mission each year through the number of clients we serve and the programs we offer to them and to our community. During the 2016-17 fiscal year we received numerous client visits including those coming in for their initial pregnancy test. Visits included clients returning for additional services, classes, resources and referrals. Pregnancy care center also performs ultrasounds. We also distributed layettes containing essential supplies for newborns to expectant or new mothers and presented car seats to families who were better prepared for parenting by completing 10 or more classes offered at our center. Through our mobile ultrasound clinic, hope in action, we provided the same medical and option counseling services available at our "home" center to the rural areas in our county. Our hope (healthy options in prevention education) team presented in schools or organizations and reached students with the message of sexual integrity. In addition we presented sexual health and fetal development information at numerous health fairs and block parties in our community. We present our seminars or set up information booths for any organization requesting our services; public, private, secular or faith-based. We also conducted several forgiven and set free bible studies for women hurting from past abortions. All of these services were at no charge to our client, medi-cal, or any other taxpayer funds. Each month we send out a pregnancy care center newsletter or director letter to those who support and partner with us. Through these publications we share stories, gather support, and advertise our own fundraising efforts.
