Mission: The primary purpose of this corporation shall be to promote a healthy, livable community with opportunities for physical activity as well as personal and cultural enrichment throught the acquisition, expansion and operation of a community recreation center that will provide a wide rangeof community programs. The organization was formed in an effort to help alleviate the food-hardship and obesity rates in california's central valley. It owns and operates the central valley community recreation center and provides a much-needed "clean-air" recreational outlet for residents of the central valley. The organization provides space for local nonprofits that are already well-established in the area but need access to recreational/office/storage space and a center out of which to provide their services to the local community.
Programs: Acquired leasehold and operations of the gateway ice center in fresno, ca which provides a facility that will encourage a healthy lifestyle and provide a safe and clean environment for children, non-profits, and community organizations to use. The gateway ice center provides a facility for the public to participate in ice skating, hockey, and other recreational and competitive sports for all levels of experience.
acquired a 10-year lease with the city of fresno to operate, develop, and acquire improvements to the granite park sports complex in east-central fresno. The proposal includes plans to refurbish three amateur baseball fields, the addition of a major league sized baseball field complete with irrigation, fencing, turf and lighting, construction of a restaurant, new basketball and volleyball courts and walking/jogging paths that will be open to the public.
