There is just something special about being at CFBC. As a person who lives near by I am privilege to be at the camp year round as a counselor, a part of the kitchen staff, a challenge course facilitator, and as a week coordinator. I have seen lives change with an eternal impact every time I have been at CFBC.

CFBC holds a very special place in my heart. I started going when I was a child and then returned as a counselor. I met my husband there as well. Some of my favorite chuldhood memories and lifelong friends were made there. I hope one day my children will say te same about CFBC!

I spent my first week at Central Florida Bible Camp 32 years ago. I attended as a camper until I was too old and then switched to being a volunteer. Although I have lived in carious states since then, I still fo back as often as I can. It has held a special place in my heart ever since. It is a place of positive influences and great memories.

Attending CFBC was a much anticipated event every summer. It is a warm, nuturing, loving environment for kids and teens. The volunteeers, from grounds keeper to kitchen staff to cabin conselors all take a genuine interest in their campers. They have a sincere concern for their campers as indivuduals and often keep in touch far beyond "camp week".

One of the biggest impacts this camp had on me as a teen was learning how to have wild and crazy YET innocent and safe fun. Teens are often surrounded at school by those who are drinking. Mondays are fillled with stories of the "crazy fun" people had while getting drunk over the weekend. It sounds like such a blast! The atmosphere at CFBC is an amazing balance of safety, and silliness. Much of the impromptu craziness was led by counselors which provided great examples of spontaneous fun while maintaining boundaries. I am forever grateful for knowing how to let loose and have loads of fun without the assistance of alcohol.

This place is so special it's just hard to articulate. As a mother , I have required my kids to attend a camp so they would have the same wonderful experiences. They had tried a few different ones in the states where they lived at the time. Although they never lived in Florida, they always chose to go back to CFBC. To this day, decades later, I still keep in touch with many of my camp friends.

CFBC was MY camp when I was a kid. Once my children were old enough to attend, I returned as a volunteer in several different capacities. My daughter even returned to work there for several summers after she graduated! We all miss it when it's not time for "camp" and find reasons to go throughout the year to get our "fix." This camp encourages Christian fellowship and values. It is run by individuals who LOVE the camp. I am proud that I and my family are part of CFBC.

Where do you start? I have been associated with this Camp for well over 25 years. My husband and I started out as volunteering for a week each summer and now he co-cordinates the week and I assist with the administration aspect. The staff at the camp is knowledgeable, approachable, safety-focused and partner with you to ensure your time there, whether as a camper or a volunteer, is memorable. The camp has been expanded to provide many areas for activites and have now included a low-ropes course, high-ropes course, small zip-line anda large zip-line. There is a lake for fishing. Swimming pool area. Craft area. My favorite - RV hook-ups. I arrive at camp energized and excited and leave completely exhausted and still excited. Summer camp focuses on the children having "the time of their life" and the camp is also available for private rentals. Kids love this place. The proof is in the numbers as well as the number of children that grow up and then return to volunteer and give back to the camp.

The Central Fla. Bible Camp and its staff, has provided the youth from our local congreation in WPB (as well as myself) to be one of the most enthusiastic, meaningful 6-days during the summer. The programs offered with youth of all backgrounds, has built not only a climate of trust with each other, but positive long-term relationships amoug their peers. To have an enviroment where safety is considered paramount, the youth (as well as adults) can focus on activities of learning and having fun (without looking over your shoulder!) ... Just good positive influences for all!
