Mission: CAFE was founded in 1991, the same year that Uzbekistan gained independence. CAFE was born out of interest from people around the world who had a desire to work in Uzbekistan and help in its development. CAFE seeks to promote development by means of geater interaction between Uzbekistan and other countries. Our volunteers come from over 20 different nationalities and from the 5 continents. Currently our development programs are in the areas of agriculture, business, community health, computers, languages (primarily English and Spanish), libraries (English language), media (journalism and radio), orphans and academic research.
