Programs: CARECEN has four major program areas: education, legal immigration services, economic development and civic participation.Immigration Legal Services- Charlas- Immigration Legal Services including adjustment of status, work permits, Greencards, citizenship, VAWA, NACARA, asylum and U Visa.Economic Development- Day Laborer CenterCivic Participation- Nonpartisan Voter education- Financial Literacy classes- Parent Engagement/LeadershipEducation- TechRec Center, ground floor youth space providing wireless internet access, laptops, desktops, and classes including leadership, arts, dance and technology classes.-- Wings, Roots & Hope, an after school program providing 1st through 8th grade students with homework assistance and culturally based curriculum.-- Youth Organizing Program develops leadership and deepens their understanding of local education issues so that youth can be effective advocates for educational reform.
