CenterPointe made a huge difference in my life! More than 20 years ago I was referred to them after a significant stay in the state hospital for a serious mental health issue. I grew up in a family where drugs and alcohol were the norm. Their approach to treat BOTH my mental health and substance issues at the same time really helped me turn my life around. I'm the first person in my family to have a college degree and that's thanks to a referral by CenterPointe. I still live with mental health issues - it's a chronic disease - but now I'm stable and doing well. I'm so proud to say I was a CenterPointe client.

Causes: Mental Health, Mental Health Treatment, Substance Abuse Treatment
Mission: CenterPointe meets people where they are and supports them to gain control of their lives. By treating the whole person, mental health and addiction can be addressed together in real time.
Results: It is our goal that people involved in our services will have less need for higher levels of care like the Crisis Center, Detox and emergency room care. In 2009-2010, only 20% of the people we serve required higher levels of care. Fully 80% were able to live in the community without higher levels of care. Target demographics: Adults 18 and over in the southeastern part of Nebraska.
