Mission: The Center for the Advancement of Women (formerly Center for Gender Equality) works to promote and protect women's rights and opportunities, worldwide, by:*Conducting and sponsoring research to identify issues that are important to women and to understand how women's experiences in the their daily lives affect their larger worldview and place in society;*Educating and informing opinion leaders, policy-makers, academic institutions and the general public to improve women's lives.*Shaping and promoting research-based public policy positions that advance women's rights and other progressive health and social issues.*Strategic use of broadcast and print media, interactive technology and direct marketing techniques to mobilize support for women's rights and social & economic justice.
