Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Domestic Violence, Family Violence Shelters, Homeless & Housing

Mission: Educate and train the community on relationship abuse so that communities and institutions respond effectively to survivors of relationship abuse; and increase awareness of relationship abuse through leadership programs.

Programs: Community capacity building programs: our services prioritize prevention and awareness of relationship abuse and sexual assault by: conducting specialized training for the systems that can hold perpetrators accountable and provide safety for survivors, creating leadership opportunities for young men and women to take action against gender violence, and institutionalizing comprehensive programs at universities nationwide. The most important goals of our programs are to decrease victim blaming so that professionals can be effective in supporting survivors seeking help and resources, increase perpetrator accountability through institutional and systemic change, and support the future of the movement to end gender violence by empowering young leaders. The center has provided comprehensive in-person training to over 10,000 individuals, engaged 84 young leaders in our next generation program, and educated over 350,000 unique individuals through our website's professional resources and action kits.
