Thanks to the Center for Environmental Health (CEH), our kids can jump on bouncy houses free from lead exposure, climb on playground structures without worrying about arsenic, and relax on furniture free of toxic flame retardants. They’ve even helped ensure the soda we drink is free from harmful carcinogens. Now, CEH is tackling the dangers of forever chemicals in our to-go food containers—making everyday life safer for families like mine. Their work has a profound impact, creating healthier, more secure communities for all of us. That’s why I’ve proudly supported CEH for over 15 years. They’re not just protecting the environment—they’re protecting the people we love.
CEH is doing such amazing work, watching all of the change that they are apart of for the better has been truly inspiring. As a pre med student I’m glad I was able to be a part of such a great organization, I will be sure to discuss all that I have learned with my future patients.
When toxins are in your food storage products, glasses, utensils, etc, they get in your food, your baby’s food and in their system. People get sick without even knowing why, but this organization is looking out for you and test the products you use, notify the companies that make them, hold them accountable and work on policy to stop the greed and the madness.
Support the Center for Environmental Health, they work for a sustainable future with less disease because of food and environmental pollutants, happier lives and happier families.
One of the organizations I will always support.
I really appreciate the work CEH has done to expose stores like Ross and Burlington for selling accessories with high levels of lead. As someone who shops at these stores frequently I am extremely disappointed that this is such a longstanding problem. I’m glad I have CEH looking out for my best interests and addressing these health risks to the public. Thank you CEH.

CEH plays a critical role by closing the loop — ensuring that required notifications actually appear on products that contain Prop 65 substances. Without this “last mile” action, there would be a gap between intention and effect. CEH closes that gap.
More significant, CEH incentivizes producers to think hard about materials substitutions that can take them — and the public — out of harm’s way. Having worked with industry for over 40 years, it is clear to me that it has a real genius for reformulation, reuse, and product innovation. There are practical limits, of course, but giving producers a shove to engage that genius is the best of all possible contributions to pollution prevention.
I give to CEH because CEH keeps us safe from toxic chemicals. They use public interest litigation to drive change for a safer, healthier future.

CEH pioneered the work to remove lead from baby products, harmful pesticides from strawberries, PFAS chemicals in foodware, and cancer-causing flame retardants in furniture. Since 1996, CEH’s legal actions have spurred hundreds of major corporations to remove lead and toxic cadmium from child and adult jewelry and fashion accessories marketed toward low income buyers.
CEH has even helped companies that were bad actors turn into good actors. Some companies didn’t even know toxic chemicals were in their products, but after working with CEH, they improved their entire supply chains.
CEH is doing important work in our local school system. Our children are better protected with this organization keeping toxins and disposable food containers out of schools.
CEH is a vital organization that holds corporations accountable for toxic exposures and pollution. I feel safer knowing that they are doing valuable work to keep toxic chemicals out of consumer products.
CEH is an incredible organization. Their work is evidence-based and justice-focused, always with an eye to care for community and the environment. They truly fight the good fight.

CEH has done tremendous work to make our world and environment a safer place. They have spent decades getting manufacturers to remove toxins from their products. I'm looking forward to seeing what CEH does next.
Everyone that works for CEH cares so much for the environment and their communities. I support the hard work they do to keep the general public safe.
I love that CEH is doing the work to protect our communities and the environment from toxic chemicals, not just here in California but beyond!
CEH is tackling the important work to protect my health and the health of my family. I'm honored to support their great work!
It's one of the unspoken tragedies of our day: current laws give chemical companies a virtual carte blanche to create and unleash new concoctions that harm our fertility, our intelligence, our behavior, our health, and our longevity.
Year-in and year-out, the Center for Environmental Health (CEH) secures far-reaching victories that measurably protect my health and yours from the shameless companies that create and profit from this backward system. Case in point: flame retardant chemicals in furniture failed to protect us from fires, but for nearly forty years they did raise our risks for cancer, developmental challenges, brain damage, and other health problems. Working with a broad coalition to deploy public-policy, consumer-pressure, legal, and market-based strategies, CEH helped eliminate flame retardants from furniture.
I love the Big Greens too, but I support CEH because it's an institution where my donation is a bigger piece of the pie and because CEH's creative, far-reaching work protects us from a reckless, greed-driven industry that harms us all.
CEH has a proven record of protecting the public, and I'm confident the organization will accomplish even more great work under the new leadership of the amazing Kizzy Charles-Guzman as Executive Director.
CEH is a driving force for change. Having closely followed their work, I can attest to their unwavering dedication to creating a safer world for everyone. With CEH at the forefront of product testing and the demand for health-conscious practices, I'm confident that our world is progressing on the right path!
I was first made aware of CEH over ten years ago. What interested me was how the environmental health watchdog was going after seemingly small but important problems that directly impact humans and their communities. They have a good track record of actually confronting entities and bringing about change in unhealthful business activities. It is not just small problems CEH has tackled. Two high profile cases have been decided in CEH’s favor. The first a win over the e-cigarette manufacturer JUUL and the second passage of New York’s fracking ban. I am happy to support CEH as they use science to help protect consumers and our communities from toxic chemicals.
The Center for Environmental Health (or CEH) is an organization working together, with governments, community members, other non-profit organizations and responsible businesses to eliminate the growing threat to human health posed by toxic chemicals and irresponsible business practices. For more than a quarter century CEH has consistently and effectively punched above its weight to reign in derelict corporations and deliver real results for harmed communities and marginalized people. Its truly been my honor to serve on its board and work to support its amazing staff and senior management.
CEH gets amazing and long-lasting results in protecting the public from toxic chemicals. Eliminating arsenic in playground furniture, lead in children's toys/candy/jewelry, and toxins in school lunch packaging are just a few of their successes. They use a variety of methods including partnering with companies who want to improve and suing those who don’t. Their work is based on science and led by experts. As a donor, I see how carefully they use resources to make impressive gains. Check them out!
