Programs: Dilworth park programming: dilworth park, on the west side of philadelphia's city hall, was completely renovated and is now managed by the center city district through a long-term lease with the city of philadelphia. As philadelphia's center square, it is designed as a high-quality gateway to public transit and as a civic place with on-going programming, amenities, and activities that benefit the public and support the mission of the park. The park is beautifully appointed with an interactive fountain, lush lawn and tree grove seating areas, which features a café. The fountain, open in the warmer months, transforms into an ice skating rink each winter. Both are favorite activities for kids and adults alike. Spring through fall the park is bustling with people enjoying the many activities happening all week long. Festivals, live musical performances, outdoor movie screenings, and happy hour specials bring an audience to the park at all hours of the day and night. The park now has 20,571 square feet of new useable area (an increase of 21%) resulting in an expanded 120,557-square-foot public space. The underground has been dramatically improved as a new transit gateway, providing entrances to broad street and market street subways and the trolley lines. New elevators make the transit levels accessible for the first time.
collins park - the foundation owns collins park, a small pocket park at 1707 chestnut street in downtown philadelphia. It manages this passive park for the benefit of residents and visitors and provides occasional programs for the enjoyment of users. The park has hosted a variety of private events, from small receptions and cocktail parties to wedding ceremonies.
dilworth park lawn: the foundation maintains the albert m. Greenfield lawn at dilworth park. The 6,900-square-foot raised great lawn, is surrounded by seating areas and is the perfect place to picnic, read a book or just relax with friends. It is slightly sloped to facilitate handicapped access and provides views of the dilworth park fountain located to the north. The lawn is designed to host events such as movies and outdoor concerts.
