Horrible place. I was there in 2021 at the deer park location. I did 4 days in detox and then I did the 30 day program. They don't help you get to the root of your addiction. They're money hungry, greedy, disgusting people. My sister worked for the corporate office and she told me all of the horrible practices they do and they directly match up with my stay. First of all, the whole place is dirty. They leave all the cleaning up to addicts, most of whom don't know how to clean properly. The food is absolutely disgusting and they force you to get food stamps that they keep even after your stay. And if you were on food stamps before you got there, they took them over. All to pay for rotten, moldy, expired food. The things they teach you about addiction are things they get from a book, not from any type of experience. None of it helps and it's "taught" to you by unexperienced tools who are only there for a check. The classes are a joke and the clients treat them as such. The place is coed so nobody is actually focused on recovery, and those that are, only get to surface level problems. The turnover rage of clients is ridiculously high. Almost everyone in there has been there multiple times. I personally relapsed after 8 days of being out of there. I finally ended up at a much better state funded treatment center and by God's grace I'm over 6 months clean. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Please.

Thank you Cenikor for saving my son's life. 30 months later and is leaving Cenikor as a resident, employee and now heading to a rehab as a counselor. I will always sing your praises and hope you don't change too much. The old way worked for my son when nothing else would.

I want to thank everyone at Cenikor. I was at the Cenikor IPTC in Dayton Texas and it completely changed my life. I was one of the first 15 to open the program and it's been 6 years since my release and I'm still clean and sober.

Cenikor is the greatest life changing oppurtinity I have ever encountered. I have been through many other programs searching for the one that would tackle sever addiction, this program is geared to individualize what the person needs to overcome what they are struggling with at the same time offering education, job skills, and complete transformation. I know first hand, I've been a changed person for many years now thanks to going through the program and graduating in 1998. I have seen many changes over these last 18+ years that makes the program even more valuble to communities and lives that want true change.

Last year, I attended their golf tournament in Houston. To hear the stories from some of the alumni and families that have been impacted by Cenikor is amazing. You would never think that some of these individuals have been through so many years of substance abuse. It's incredible to hear that an organization has given these people the chance to start new and get a chance to mend the burned bridges, gain trust in their family members, get their confidence in themselves back. This organization is truly helping save lives and get people back on track to be productive citizens.

Cenikor Foundation gave me an opportunity to change my life, for the rest of my life. Cenikor offers a holistic approach to treatment services and offers an individual an opportunity to become responsible and independent. As a Graduate of this program I am truly grateful for that GOD allowed them to reach and teach me about my behaviors. Cenikor invested in my life and now I am investing in the lives of others in the same capacity. You can do recovery by yourself but you can't do it alone. With the help and encouragement I received from Cenikor, I have regained my self-esteem, confidence, integrity, moral judgement, values, positive peer support, independence, family, an awesome career and most of all GOD!

Thanks Cenikor, I could never repay you, what is owed for the return of my life!

After living in my addiction for 20 years I entered the Cenikor program in Ft. Worth, TX. I had convinced myself that I was destined to live the awful life that I had been living. Cenikor's program saved my life! I am now clean and have been for almost 4 years. I am a happy, healthy, thriving man that has a new outlook on life. Cenikor is truly a God send, to me, and many others. Kudos to Cenikor and all of the life changing programming and services they offer.

Cenikor is an amazing organization. I was in an awful cycle of drug abuse, incarceration, and diminishing will to live. After only a few months in the program, my zeal for life and physical and mental health began to return. The program is founded on principals that are simple and timeless. I am now a staff member and every day of work is a joy.

Cenikor is an amazing organization! I was first asked to join the advisory board for the Deer Park, Texas facility in 2004 by a co-worker that was retiring and wanted to fill his position on the board. Since that time I have seen many lives transformed from what would be described as a "no chance of survival" to being a truly productive citizen and functioning extremely well in and contributing to our society.
Cenikor is truly a place for change. If the individual that has made a few bad choices wants to turn their life around, stay out of trouble, make amends with family and friends and live a successful life that no longer includes addiction, Cenikor can and will help them.
One of the things that really amazed me was my first board meeting. As we introduced ourselves, many of the board members, who were currently successful businessmen, were former residents at Cenikor. Many of the employees at Cenikor are former residents, only testifying more that Cenikor is truly a place that can change lives.

Cenikor Foundation provides drug rehabilitation services. I have been donating to Cenikor Foundation since 1998. The foundation changes the lives of those individuals who have made poor choices, but desire to overcome those choices to become responsible and productive citizens free of substance abuse. The success rate for the foundation's rehabilitated graduates is unparalleled.

I work with a Cenikor graduate and she is one of the best people I know. I believe the service this organization provides is invaluable to those people who want to have a better life but don't know where to begin. The staff and facilities are wonderful and I am sure our neighborhood benefits greatly by having Cenikor around to give hope to those who temporarily misplaced it.

Second chances do not come very often in life. I mean like real second chances; second chances to be a better person, to do better things and have a better life. Most addicts, my self included, allow themselves to settle for less than what they are worth because they don't believe they deserve more. Cenikor taught me to have faith in myself and to know, without a shadow of a doubt, that my life is important and I do matter. I love the person I am today. Thanks to Cenikor, I have been given an opportunity, a second chance, to change who I used to be into who I want to be.

Cenikor is different from "rehab" in that it focuses on changing your patterns of living. Although you learn to deal with emotions in a healthy manner, Cenikor also teaches residents to get out of their emotions so that those feelings don't guide their decisions. Clients spend over a year in the first phase of the program, in which they learn to live their daily life clean and sober. This re-inforces independence, self-respect, and responsible habits. Learning to deal with the constant change and instructional feedback of fellow residents not only toughens up residents for re-entry into life, but it also helps solidify personal boundaries and priorities. I can honestly say that Cenikor is a place for positive change unlike no other.

This was the biggest and toughest decision of my life. After spending a year with Texas Department of Corrections, I was helped by my family to enter Cenikor? At first, I was very adamant about not needing such a program especially after where I was. However, tough love won... I entered Cenikor in Deer Park, TX in Sept. 2009. The next 2 years were the hardest and most challenging years I endured, more so than my addiction. I graduated in Sept. 2011. Today I am honored and grateful to call myself a graduate. Cenikor helped me re-define who I am, re-develope skills both personally and professionally. It renewed my integrity, character and strength to be all that I can be, without being ashamed of where I was and where I had been. I have healthy and honest relationships with God, my family and friends. My family sleeps at night knowing I am safe and free from harm, and I have the rest of my life to enjoy 5 amazing nieces and nephews which without my sobriety I would never have had the chance. I share an amazing life with a man who loves me unconditionally and showed me that I could love again. I have a career with endless possibilities. I smile everyday, thank God everyday for the gift of having each day. Cenikor is not for those who don't have the true desire to change, it is only for those who truly have the heart and desire to want to do their life differently, everything differently. Friends, routines, habits, choices..... It doesn't happen overnight, yes it is a long two years, but one day at a time, and slowly you begin to see a difference and after 2 years you will love the difference it makes in everything you do!!! I not only love who I am today, but so do those closest to me. Cenikor is a place for change, a place for you to learn how to make productive, effective choices for your life and those in your life. Thank you Cenikor and their amazing staff!

As a member of the Advisory Board for the Houston facility, I have been able to work closely with staff as well as residents and must say this is the best program available for drug & alcohol recovery. Cenikor not only assists addicts with recovery but also life skills, work placement, education and the list goes on and on. The staff at Cenikor is truly invested in the residents, they are people, just like you and I and the staff appreciates this concept. I have and will continue to refer those in need to this program as well as refer willing volunteers to assist in the efforts of Cenikor.

I stop by the facility at least twice a month to share the joys of good living with the new residents. Although I worked at Cenikor from 2011 through 2013, I never thought of it as a job. It was an honor to be able to touch lives and since I am also a graduate of the program, many of the residents can identify with my story and believe that they can achieve what I have now. It's not so much the material gains Cenikor allowed me to achieve, but the inner peace and confidence I have, because of learning a solid way of living. My wife, who has never needed recovery looked at me the other day because of the positive way I reacted to a potentially bad situation and said, "That place really changed you. Seems like even someone without addiction issues could use this type of change." I smiled and let her know that Cenikor is about more than simple recovery. You don't just recover your life, family, esteem... you gain things you never had.

Cenikor has put together a combination of life-giving, holistic services that really cannot be compared to any other organization that treats addiction recovery. In addition to a gradual and disciplined regimen of results-oriented challenges, residents undergo life re-entry and career advancement opportunities that simply cannot be achieved in a shorter-term program. I have been personally impacted by so many testimonials from residents who have shared diverse painful stories but the common thread has been the positive opportunities, accountability and inner change that has taken place in their lives through peer mentoring, self-fullfillment and disciplined accountability that is embedded in their treatment programs. I am proud to devote hours of my time as a volunteer to make sure this organization grows and continues to thrive as one of the most effective programs under watchful stewardship that is available and should continue to become an exemplary program for other rehabilitation facilities across the country.

I graduated in September of 2008 at the Deer Park facility and a continue to accomplish goals that I never had before since being in Cenikor it brought self worth and self esteem back into my life. I still go up there at least once a week and give back. There is not a lot of woman graduates that make an appearance to give the female clientele hope that they can make it too. I enjoy going back every week to see how clients reach their personal goals and continue to make new ones. This is a great nonprofit organization and would recommend it to anyone.

I have been volunteering at Cenikor for the past 4 years or so. Cenikor provides a way for people to break the cycle of addiction and reclaim their lives. It is a tough program, requiring a 2 year commitment, but the results are astounding. Equally impressive is that Cenikor is not dependent on federal funding, thank goodness! By the time someone graduates from the program, they have a job, a place to live, transportation, and 2 months savings in the bank. They also have their self-esteem and healed relationships with family and friends. I get to witness miracles at Cenikor.

I had an opportunity to take a tour of the Fort Worth Facility this year, and I was very impressed with the organization and the different types of programs offered. The staff was very professional and the clients were very respectful during my visit. Cenikor is committed to helping people get their lives back and succeed in society. They offer a variety of programs, such as impatient programs, detoxification, and intensive outpatient services for adolescents and adults. I specifically was impressed with their job development opportunities offered to their clients. Cenkior partners with employers in the community and helps clients gain employment and become self-sufficient. Congratulations to Cenikor for giving their clients a second chance.

Cenikor is the WORST kept secret! Their 2 year live-in Drug/Alcohol program has a very high rate of success for long term success with its resident run facilities, for a very low entry cost. Tours are available along with resident testimonies, which are so inspiring. The clients are provided education, skills, jobs, clothing, etc, and upon graduation, a job, skills and resources to re-enter society as a proud, competent, and contributing member of their families and communities. Community Partners are companies that hire the residents, and quite often employ them full time after graduation, with excellent results. Cenikor provides all the skills necessary for a satisfied and successful life, and most importantly, instills HOPE and discipline in each resident. The staff is dedicated and committed. They will gladly accept more Community Partners, Volunteers, clothing, shoes, toiletries, etc. Contact them for opportunities to speak at networking events, and be inspired!

I visited the Cenikor facility in Fort Worth TX last summer. We were given a tour and got to visit with several young people going through their 2 year residential drug and alcohol rehab program. I was very impressed with their success rate and with the HOPE that I saw in the residents. They live a structured life in the Cenikor facility and learn valuable job and life skills so they can remain clean and sober once they go back into the real world. It is very rewarding working with both the staff and residence of Cenikor, a long term drug and alcohol treatment program in Fort Worth. I have witnessed graduates of the 2 year program graduate from college and become very productive and useful members of society.
I not only serve on the Advisory Council but am also fortunate enough to work for a company that is a vocational partner. I work daily with the residents and graduates. They are humble, high performing employees.
This is a great program that helps people who have made some poor decisions be able to get on their feet and with help, set-up to be successful.

Cenikor has an amazing program that takes people from all different backgrounds and with many different substance abuse problems and teaches them a new way to live. I was a hopeless addict and recidivist with no place left to go and no one to turn to for help. Cenikor picked me up and took me in and gave me the opportunity to change. When I removed the drugs from my life the real problem became apparent...and it was me. Cenikor's program is unique because it address your whole problem by breaking it down to the core issues. Work ethic, honesty, integrity, independence, and all the other things I did not know I had lost. Today you can describe me with different words like husband, father, friend, student, and manager. They told me when I went into the program that if I followed what they asked me to do then my life would be returned to me. I did and it was. Thank you Cenikor!

Cenikor changed my life by changing my son's life. I thank God we found Cenikor. I had done all I knew to do, and began to pray differently. I asked God to bring someone into my son's life that could communicate to him in a way that I wasn't being able to. He had gotten in trouble with the law and God arranged the court system to allow him to be stipulated at Cenikor instead of something else. We don't know whether he would have been giving time or not, but my son made the right decision. I know it was a huge struggle for him in the beginning. But God placed those in my son's life that could help him. The staff as well as the other residents were vital in saving his life. He made life long friendships while there and they continue help each other. He graduated in April 2011 and is doing wonderful. He is a blessing to me and many others. I'm so thankful that I got my son back, as he would say, the new and improved version. Without him my life would not be the same. Thank you Cenikor and all the other staff and residents that helped and continue to support us on this journey of life.
