Cemetery Preservation Group Inc. was instrumental in restoring the grave of a neighbor friend's deceased child. Richard and Mary Herndon lost their little, Kimberly Therese Herndon, on January 28, 1959. She was not quite one year old. Her grave marker at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Alabama was hardly readable. Thanks to Doug Buster and others, it was restored to almost new condition. A very worthwhile organization!
My experience with this group centers around Old Live Oak Cemetery in Selma. They have done a great job restoring many grave sites and reacted promptly when the Tomb of Willaim Rufus King was vandalized with paint.
The time, energy and personal resources provided by this group certainly exceeds expectations by the citizens of Selma Al, as well as non residents who have loved ones buried here. Our rich history brings tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world each year and our very old cemeteries are included in our tourism guides. We are thankful to Doug Buster and this group for their perseverance in restoring and maintaining the restorations
The Cemetery Preservation Group has been doing an awesome job in preserving this great historic site, in Selma Alabama. We recently traveled, from Louisiana to take pictures of my ancestors grave stones! Thank you so much for the hard work and determination.
