Programs: Placement of children: in 2017, 395 orphaned children from peoples republic of china, haiti, latvia, ukraine, bulgaria and the us were placed in american adoptive families' homes. An additional 300 families are in the various stages pre-adoption process at the end of the year. On 12/31/2017 there were 990 families in the adoption process and 2200 children receiving post adoption services.

children's charity fund: a restricted fund dedicated to humanitarian assistance to orphanages. The fund has been used to purchase food, clothing, diapers, formula, educational materials, toys, and medical assistance. The children's charity fund sponsors over 800 children in foster care programs, orphanages, and the seven lily orphan care centers in the henan province of china.

family development services: to ensure the success of the adoption, ccai developed post adoption support systems designed to assist the families with the bonding and attachment process, cultural education and emotional support. The joyous chinese cultural center conducts programs for pre-school through high school to teach chinese traditions and to overcome issues associated with adoption. Our adopteen program serves over 300 adopted american pre-teens and teenagers each year with adoptween hangouts, summer camp-conferences and giving back orphanage service trips where they spend time working and caring for children in the orphanages.

china roots program: in 2017 our china roots program took 176 adoptees back to china to discover their roots and visit the orphanages where they lived prior to adoption. Along with these 176 adoptees, 281 of their family members joined them for a total of 457 persons touring china.
