When the manager resigned, this place was running for months without an office manager. There is no HR department or even a compliance officer, etc. The staff and the guys we serve are left alone without management. The one who consider himself executive director is never present, he chooses to communicate to his staff via text messages, which he would send to one staff member then that staff would relay what he was asked to. For months at a time there were no paper towels for the guys and staff to wipe their hands after having lunch or even after using the rest rooms. All were using toilet tissues...
Staff is often not paid on time, at times staff are paid half of their salary. There is no communication on the part of the executive director, staff's concerns and questions are never addressed, and he’s been avoiding staff, holds no effective, purposeful staff meetings and above all, does not appear to know or have any inclination in directing or managing people on the autism spectrum. There's so much more that's wrong with this organization, it's unbelievable and too numerous to mention...
This organization, run by this family; Son, mother and daughter, is being mismanaged. They are doing a disservice to the people with autism. This place needs to be shut down. How are they able to continue under the OPWDD'S raider, surpasses all good sense of human comprehension.
