Causes: International, International Human Rights
Mission: To educate immigrants and the public about immigration issues in order to create a society that recognizes the contributions of and challenges to immigrants and upholds the values of equality and respect.
Programs: Civic engagement: causa registered 4,288 voters through our non-partisan voterengagement and registration work. We contacted 18,233 people via door-to-door canvassing throughout salem, woodburn, bend, hermiston, hillsboro, and portland to talk to them about the importance of voting and we called 8,708 people to remind them to turn out to vote. Through our nonpartisan civic engagement program, we engaged over 3,000 volunteers.
community organizing: causa organized 20 events including marches and rallies, neighborhood canvassing, and community forums to bring communities together and work to solve community problems in the areas of immigration, transportation, access to highter education, and safety.
leadership development: causa held 5 leadership development trainings with 120 participants. Graduates were supported by causa to organize communityevents, engage in community organizing work, and get involved in civic engagement activities. Through these trainings, causa supported 4 leadership committees across the state.
