I was wrongly evicted by the holier than thou. Fought the eviction attempts in court, won 3 times, lost the fourth eviction because I was late for court. Lovely how the Catholic housing oh so fights homelessness, yet has no problem evicting people.
According to the ridiculous allegations, I was a couple fries short of a happy meal, yet they never tried hooking me up with the crew program on the second floor.
In all seriousness, when was the last time the Catholic Church apologized for anything? Tax wise, contributions to the Catholic Church don't help the ones they brag about helping as much as it goes to their priests, legal fees and schools.
My family is worth fighting for! I have two children and a disabled husband which makes every day a struggle, but my love for them makes me strong. The Community at Catholic Services believes that we are worth investing in. We have been struggling through the Coordinated Entry Program for a year now (still homeless) CCSWW has helped every way they can. All My Love. Val

As a young kid my mom was often volunteering for this nonprofit. And now 45+ years later I appreciate why. With CCS and CHS I know any donation goes towards feeding the hungry, housing those seeking shelter, and providing critical services for those needing help getting back on their feet. The organization serves the entire region—whether its kids living with their families in safe CHS apartments and housing-- or the elderly staying in their homes with the help of a CCS volunteer who comes by from Volunteer Chore Services. The organization also offers team-building volunteer opportunities for businesses and other groups looking for a fun, impactful project. I encourage others to give to this great nonprofit by donating, plus getting involved!
I am a donor, volunteer and also do contract work with this organization which serves the needy (from children to our elders, and all in between) throughout Western Washington. Our neighbors who are vulnerable receive services, food and shelter from this hardworking group of volunteers and dedicated employees. CCS/CHS' reach is large and the need is even larger. The clients served are inspiring and many give back to the organization by volunteering themselves when they are able. That really says something! CCS offers wonderful opportunities to get involved in our community in a meaningful, rewarding, impactful way. And the nonprofit uses donations to make a real positive impact and change in the lives of our neighbors in need.
I had and am having a great experience with Catholic Community Services of Western Washington. I was referred to their Asset program were I completed training in the field of Human Services, where I was given a wonderful certificate at the graduation ceremony which was a good as any Ive been involved with. The information I received was very helpful and prepared me to be of service to people with various needs in the Seattle area. After the classroom training, I did what is called "Job Shadowing" where I volunteered in a day center in Kirkland, Wa called the New Bethlehem center, which provide various help to families in the Kirkland area. I have recently been hired as a monitor there and will continue to pursue my education and a position of responsibility in Human Services, hopefully with CCSWW. It really is a rewarding experience and I am thankful and grateful to CCSWW for everything as I was once a person in need of help and now am in a position to give back, what has been given to me....
As a contractor who has worked with CCS over five years now, I continue to be impressed with the variety of services that CCS has to offer. From housing to food to counseling services, CCS is dedicated to making a positive difference in people's lives. The quality of people who work and volunteer at CCS is admirable. They are kind, caring, professional, warm, intelligent, hard-working, accessible and overall, lovely people and the clients and guests that I have worked with are all very appreciative of CCS. Our community is fortunate to have an organization so committed to helping others. Thank you CCS!
I've worked for CCS/CHS for over four years now. Through this time I've met countless people so dedicated and passionate about their work that it seems almost unreal that a problem exists they cannot tackle. As an organization they're committed to addressing needs at every level- through governmental systems, at the local city level, and on a person-to-person basis. I feel honored and proud to work at an organization that remains committed to their mission statement- to love, respect, and serve the dignity of every human person and to fight the systems that oppress them. It's what keeps me coming to work every day.
This Womans Wellness Center that is run by Catholic Charities is not even a safe place for people to go.
I tried to access the service today, 11/9/2013, and was physically assaulted by a girl in the center. The staff did nothing, but gave the police (that I called after they threatened me not to call) a false testimony regarding the assault that the staff did not see.
Does not deserve one star if it is not safe there.
