Chef Bruno Serato, who started Caterina's Club to feed motel children, is a CNN hero. Caterina's Club serves 5,500 meals a day (and increasing) and has served over 8 million meals. It also has a Hospitality Academy, which trains at risk teenagers skills to work in the restaurant industry. Another service Caterina's Club provides is helping move families out of the motels and into apartments.

Causes: Family Services, Human Services
Mission: Caterina’s Club’s mission is to provide warm meals, affordable housing assistance, and job training to homeless and low-income families throughout Southern California. It is supported by a vision where we are creating a modicum of consistency in these children’s lives through something as simple yet meaningful as a nightly dinner.
Results: Over 3 MILLION meals served. Over 200 families relocated from motels to apartments. 200 teen graduates from Chef Bruno's Hospitality Academy.
